Good Location & Great Roof Terrace

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Location, Roof garden, staff and breakfast.
Cons: Air-conditioning and bathrooms
Location: Close to Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona
It was lovely to stay in the centre of Rome, as my previous stay had been outwith the towncentre. The hotel is an old hotel that has four big plus points, its location, its roof terrace, its staff and the breakfast! The negative was the lack of air conditioning and airflow in our room. The hotel had the "winter airflow" running, although it was 22 degrees outside. I did not sleep well as a result. I would stay here again regardless of this, but only on the condition I had a different room with better airflow.

Perfect location, inexpensive

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Perfect location, helpful staff
Cons: Rooms are small, but that's the trade-off. Don't expect to have a party in the room
The hotel is located just off the Via del Corso, but not right on the main street. So it's relatively quiet at night but right in the middle of things. Room was small, but that's exactly what I expect for the price -- don't expect to host a party in the room. If you want inexpensive place to stay, good breakfast in the morning, clean room, helpful staff, and convenient location, this is an awesome hotel.

Best spot in Rome

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: great breakfast - food was fresh and delicious, rooftop patio was such a pleasant place to rest up in the afternoon and journal, enjoy a glass of wine
Location: just a short walk to the Pantheon in one direction and the Via Corso (bus stop) in the other
Fantastic staff - very pleasant and helpful. Location is perfect, easy to walk to just about any place within the city walls or catch the bus just minutes away. Rooms were spacious and clean. Blackout window features were great.

Location, location, location. Great staff.

Pros: The staff were wonderful, spoke excellent English, and were all helpful. Breakfast was a real plus and very enjoyable up on the 5th floor rooftop.
Cons: Hotel can't control the noise and it could be a little loud which made sleeping a challenge.
Location: OMG, everything is nearby - Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Via del Corso, Coliseum/etc., Piazza Narvona. A main tourist walkway is right outside the hotel.
Rome is wonderful and the hotel is in the midst of everything. Step outside to the right and the Pantheon is a couple of blocks (if Rome had orderly and standard city blocks); step to the left and Trevi Fountain is just a few blocks away. It's in the midst of the big-city-energy of Rome. Lots of places to eat including a handy little deli in the piazza fronting the hotel for an easy lunch which can be enjoyed up on the rooftop of the hotel. Hotel is clean and rooms are functional (if you're spending too much time in the room you've got it all wrong anyway). Only small gripe is that climate control was not particularly functional so had to keep window open for circulation which resulted in street noise way into the wee hours of the morning (asked for and got a room change which helped a little).

Great hotel with friendly staff and an unbeatable

Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: The location cannot be beat and all staff members are extremely friendly and helpful.
Location: Central to Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. Close to Vatican City, Piazza Venezia, shopping, Trastevere, Campo de Fiori, Borghese Gallery, and Piazza Navo
This hotel is centrally located in between the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. It is on a small and quiet street, so noise isn't an issue really, which is nice. The rooftop terrace for breakfast and drinks later on/espressos, etc. is a great touch and a pleasing atmosphere after a day of sightseeing or in the morning. We walked most everywhere, with the exception of a couple quick bus rides. Travelled to Galleria Borghese, Vatican city multiple times, Trastevere, the Colosseum, Forum, and Palantine Hill, all with no real problems. Staff is incredibly friendly and willing to help out in whatever way possible- calling cabs, giving public transit advice, restaurant recommendations (try and ask them their favorites and avoid tourist traps where they are beckoning you in- sometimes not the best food). The rooms are clean and simple, with coffee/tea and some refreshments available. Bathrobes are available for use, as well as slippers. There is a safe, which we were happy about due to having our passports and more cash than is typical. All in all, a lovely place to stay. Thanks Albergo Cesari!
