The room was quite small with really no room for luggage. I would recommend booking a bigger room if you have more than 1 piece of luggage. Nice size bathroom and good location.

Couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience during our 3 generation Roman holiday! All staff members were friendly & helpful. Lots of choices on the complimentary breakfast to get your day started. Room was cleaned with fresh towels/linens every day. Great location...within 5 minutes of the Spanish Steps. Only 10 min.walk to Trevi Fountain & Termini Station. Hotel has a good restaurant for lunch & dinner. Lots of great places to eat close to the hotel. I definitely recommend this hotel & would go back

Good things - friendly staff, good wifi connection in rooms, excellent location. Improvements - breakfast buffet could be better with more hot food options (but I think that goes for most 4 stars in Rome!)

Quality Location and Service

Pros: Location
The hotel is very well located. Very close to the Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese, Via Veneto and Trevi Fountain. Easy walking distance to all the abovementioned sites. Also only a 3 minute walk to Barbierini Metro Station. The hotel is in a quiet spot so noise is not an issue. The roof top terrace is good for somewhere peaceful to have a drink or meal. We did not eat there so cannot comment on quality of meals. Breakfast is full buffet style with reasonable variety. The staff were attentive and always pleasant to deal with. The selection of this hotel was a big factor in our very enjoyable stay in Rome!

not impressed

Our first impression of the hotel was that our choice of hotel was a excellent choice but that was to change after a couple of days We were in a wedding party of 30 people and the hotel staff were very happy for us to spend our euros in there hotel even charging us seven euro for a small beer(330ml) in the bar so when we went elsewere to find more resonable priced restaurants and bars there attitude toward us changed We stayed at this hotel for five nights and we were a little unhappy that a taxi driver had ripped us off on our trip from the airport so having talked to the local taxi drivers there was a fixed price of 30 euro from the hotel to ciampino airport we asked the hotel to call us a taxi on our last day but they said they were not able to help us with this we later found out they wanted us to use there taxi and charge us 50 euro some commision there hey! All in all we really enjoyed Rome and when you get used to dodging the weirdos trying to rip you off whenever your near a tourist spot the city itself is fantastic but be warned don't travel if your on a budget you won't enjoy it

Excellent European Boutique Hotel

Albergo Ottocento is immaculate. It's on a small, quiet (for Rome) streeet. We overlooked the street but had no problem with noise. The front desk is available 24/7. Breakfast included eggs, cereal, fruit, rolls/cakes, cappuccino/coffee, and was very tasty. Service was good, particularly with arranging transportation to the airport. The rooms are small by American standards. For example, we had a deluxe room, which had no bureau. If you can get past that, it's an excellent little hotel.
