Charm, quality and location
Posted Jan 29, 2012
Pros: Elegance, courteous staff, convenience.
Location: In the heart of Old Rome near the Pantheon
This is a very comfortable and clean hotel. It is beginning to show just a little wear around the edges, but is superior to much of what one finds in Rome for a boutique hotel. The room was very clean, with phenomenally comfortable beds. The sheets were of high quality. The bathroom was also very clean and luxurious. There is a bar in the lounge, but I had to teach the bartender how to make a drink (Campari Spritzer). Overall, a very nice hotel and deserves a strong recommendation.

Great location, well kept, I'd do it again.

Check-in clerk was a bit flat with personality and low on friendliness (other desk persons after that experience were great). Really nice location! Very nice small hotel, clean rooms, distance to Pantheon is so slight that I didn't believe I was actually at the Pantheon already - literally a few minutes out the door. You can walk to the big sites, but it's a bit of a hike - maybe 30 minutes to the Forum - terrain is flat, Cafe can be found every few hundred yards so relax and enjoy the walk. Food in the area is good, streets feel safe and friendly - I would recommend the hotel and would consider staying again on our next trip to Rome. Breakfast was adequate - not over the top, but enough to send you out for the day and get you to lunch time. Internet in the lobby - not sure that I could get wireless anywhere else - it wasn't terribly expensive like some places. Some noise from the street below (hardly a street, more like a large alley that cars use) - but I slept without problem. We took a car (not a standard cab) from the airport and it ran around E50 - unmetered (I believe I tipped the driver in that figure). Had to return to the airport via standard taxi (meter running) to retrieve luggage - the cost was basically the same.

Ready to go back

I would definitely stay in this hotel again. The windows overlooked the inner courtyard and was quite restful. Our shower window opened into that courtyard and it felt like taking a shower "al fresco." I did not find it noisy at all. The location was perfect for seeing the major sites. The train station was an easy taxi ride away. Breakfast was included and was larger than the expected continental breakfast. Service was quite good.

Perfect location and accommodations in Rome's Pantheon area
Posted Jan 25, 2010
When we arrived we were extremely tired and hot from walking all day. Walking through the door was like walking into a cool oasis that was ready to welcome us. The air conditioning was a necessary convenience because it was in the mid-nineties and the concierge was kind and spoke english well. Our room was very accommodating and the bed was comfortable. I felt very safe and we were able to take a much needed nap immediately. Breakfast the next morning was the perfect way to start the morning and had something to offer Americans and Europeans.

We were very pleased with the central location of this hotel. We could walk to many of the major attractions in Rome. We were put into a roomy apartment, when we expected a double room, and it was very comfortable and spacious. The continental breakfast was delicious. We would definitely go back!
