Excellent StaffPosted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: The staff
Cons: Better sound insulation
Location: It's only a 30 minute slow walk to any of the sights in Rome that you would want to see.
There are not enough superlatives to describe the staff here. All of them with no exceptions are fantastic. Nothing was too much. If you needed directions they were happy to provide them, or if you needed a taxi at any time of the day they were happy to call and get you one. The location of the hotel, whilst slightly out of the way also makes it cheaper and quieter than an inner city hotel. The walk through the park to the center of the city is also nice to do each morning. The only slight criticism, was if you're on the ground floor at the front then you have to put up with a tram stop right outside your window as I had. If anybody I knew was going to Rome then I would certainly recommend that they stay here.

My favourite Rome hotelPosted Nov 5, 2014
Pros: Location, breakfast, staff, beds, kitchenette, spacious room, proper shutters for night time darkness.
Cons: Take ear-plugs if the trams will disturb you, or book a room at the rear. We didn't need the heating on at night. Hairdryer didn't work properly.
Location: Lovely park opposite, two excellent Galleries just nearby; ten minutes walk across the park to Piazza del Popolo. Tram to Colosseum, walk from there.
We like walking so the location was perfect. In the park you get a lovely sense of Rome's tree-scape, lots of shade, those typical umbrella pines. We walked to the Galleria Borghese, via Vittoria Veneto, the Spanish Steps, down via del Corso to the Victor Emanuel momument, the villa Doria Pamphli, Castel Sant'Angelo and St. Peter's. When our legs got tired, we took the tram, and then walked from the Colosseum to the Baths of Caracalla. Advice: book in advance for the Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill; for the Vatican Museums and the Galleria Borghese. Go early to St. Peter's to cut down queueing time for security. Don't forget the Etruscan Museum, it's fascinating. Go off the big roads for coffee and meals. Enjoy!

3 Night breakPosted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Helpful reception staff. Good breakfast
Cons: Need a light on both sides of the bed
Hotel in a good location, quiet and peaceful. 2 day transport strike while we were there but walking distance to the centre if you are feeling fit. 10 Euro taxi if not. Tram and bus stop outside. Good restaurants within 10 minute walk (Gli Ulivi exceptional).

Nice Hotel - Safe convenient locationPosted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: Clean, safe area.
Location: Subway station 15 minute walk. Nice local restaurants within walking distance. Quiet neighborhood.
This was our first visit to Rome and we were very pleased with the Hotel. The room was clean and very spacious. We stayed in the Jr Suite and it was very nice. The location was great and in a nice area of Rome. We were a 15 minute walk from a Metro Subway stop and there was a tram stop across the street from the Hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Alsrovandi City Suites great place to stay in RomePosted Oct 24, 2014
Very comfortable room, staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Location was good, trams stopped just outside if you didn't fancy walking but we usually walked, breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Would definitely stay there again if I go back to Rome, we asked for Restraunt recomendations and were given several options / suggestions which were spot on.

Great stay in Rome.Posted Oct 23, 2014
Friendly welcome. Arrived early though room wasn't ready. Shown round the facilities and shown to the pool bar. Great room with a downstairs seating area and kitchen and bathroom/bedroom upstairs. Small spiral staircase would be difficult to negotiate if u were on the large side or had a large case to take up. Located opposite Rome zoo so good thirty minute walk too the main sites. Though tram stop outside the hotel. Good free breakfast with hot and cold products. Highly recommended. Only downside is location if u wish to go out to eat in the evening only a couple restraunts within a 15 min walk.

Quiet in a city of noisePosted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: The pool, the quiet neighborhood, the beautifully appointed apartment.
Cons: The Wi-Fi system was clunky and cumbersome. A more efficient IT security system should be devised.
Location: Right next to the Villa Borghese and the zoo; quiet residential neighborhood; limited choice of restaurants nearby.
This hotel is a little off the beaten path, which in this case is a good thing! We used public transportation for all of our travel, and at first getting to and from Rome's sights was daunting, but the trams that stop right outside the hotel go directly to the Coliseum and the Vatican, respectively, and were our saving grace. Having a pool to come back to after a hot, tiring day of sightseeing was invaluable. Everyone of the staff was courteous and helpful, but we give a special thanks to Constantin for the way he went out of his way to make our stay the best it could be.
