Elegant hotel rooms with friendly, courteous staffPosted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: Spacious, clean rooms that were well equipped.
Cons: More information from the hotel reception regarding tourist information. Leaflets of events or places to visit in the lobby.
Location: Very pleasant location with good access to a beautiful park and the zoological gardens. Direct access to Rome city via the No 19 tram.
We enjoyed our stay at the Aldrovandi City Suites as the hotel reception staff were very courteous; the surroundings were clean and well maintained and the hotel room spacious and clean. The breakfast room was elegant and there was a very good choice of food and drink offered for guests. The rooms were peaceful and quiet especially at night. There was a tram service that ran outside the hotel into Rome city which was quite frequent. The only problem we encountered was the waiter at breakfast who one morning was rather abrupt with us as he indicated we had sat on the 'wrong' table even we had not been instructed to sit at another beforehand and there were no written instructions we could see to direct us to a 'correct' table!

Dear Sir/MAdam thank you for the time you spent to review your experience at aldrovandi residence in roma and all the details you gave about us. I apologize if our staff wasn't able to instruct you correctly about breakfast table sitting. We have many families staying with us for long terms and they are used to ask for the same table everyday. We try to meet all your expectations and i am sorry if sometimes we cannot satisfy them. I wish i'll have the pleasure to meet you soon back in roma Best Regards Manuel Libertucci Executive Director

Great size apartment, everything we needed.Posted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: Room size, location and being a serviced apartment
Cons: Comfort of pillows
Location: Nothing to do close by as in quiet leafy residential location but on 2 tram lines Apartment has a good vending machine with drinks snacks
Very friendly helpful staff, very clean excellent standard of breakfast to set you up for the day. Very pleased we requested a room at the back as the road is noisy and busy also the trams start early morning to add to noise but useful as tram stop just outside. The complementary bottle of wine went down a treat after a busy day sight seeing!

Nice hotel, minimum facilities, more like an apartment. Room very clean and spacious. 20 min walk to most attractions. Quiet, opposite beautiful park. Good value.

Very good hotel plus having a fridge and a kitchenette saves a lot of money. And the beautiful park next door.

Home away from home, beautiful, quiet neighborhoodPosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
We reserved this hotel because of the gorgeous pool, spacious suites, and in-room kitchen. Had never been to Rome before, and when we arrived we were a little concerned that it seemed far away from the city center. However, we soon discovered that it is a short walk through beautiful Borghese Park to the metro and the northern gate of Rome at Piazza del Popolo. The #19 tram stops in front of the hotel and goes directly to Piazza Risorgimento at the Vatican. The #3 bus also stops in front of the hotel and goes to the Colosseum. The same ticket works for tram, bus, and subway. You can buy an unlimited 24-hour ticket at the machine in front of the Museum of Modern Art just downhill from the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, an excellent full breakfast is included, the beds are extremely comfortable, the air conditioning works well and the area is quiet. Will definitely stay here again when back in Rome.

City's break with family- 3 generationsPosted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Facilities, pool, service, cleanliness
Cons: Spiral staircases - just need to be flagged up to families staying with either young children or elderly visitor.
Location: Across from Villa Bourgese Park. 20 minutes walk to Spanish Steps. Good public transport links to St Peters an the Colluseum.
Lovely hotel. Very clean, excellent facilities in our rooms, two junior suites, on with a full kitchen, the other with kitchenette and complimentary tea and coffee (charges for mini bar items). Both rooms made up as requested and looking over the gardens - again as requested at time of booking. We emailed the hotel before we left and the arranged transfers for us - very helpful as we were a party of 6 and knew we wouldn't fit in a normal taxi. The hotel staff recommended places to eat nearby and which trams/buses to use to get to St Peters and the Colluseum. The pool was lovely and not at all busy considering it was the middle of August. A great place to stay- 20 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps but good location if you don't mind walking and catching public transport. Only thing to be aware of - spiral staircases to upper level of suites were very steep and narrow.

Beautiful hotel in tranquil location in RomePosted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: Comfort and level of service, friendly staff and excellent value for money.
Location: Beautiful location next to Villa Borghese and zoo, also near some embassies so quite an affluent area. We went to the zoo and the museum of modern art
Small but excellent apart hotel on the outskirts of Rome right by the Villa Borghese. Rooms were spacious and spotless. Couldn't fault a thing - breakfast was wonderful and the staff were always helpful and attentive. Only downside was lack of restaurants nearby. One we found was a 10min walk and excellent.

"Fantastic stay in amazing city"Posted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Ideal location on the outskirts of the city center but only 20 minutes walk through the park to Spanish steps, Trevi fountain etc. Short tram ride takes you straight to the Vatican but all major attractions are within walking distance. The junior suite room was perfect, the breakfast included is fantastic and the staff cannot do enough to help - especially the nighttime receptionist who always gave us good advice on where to go and was really friendly. Lovely swimming pool means you also have opportunity to relax and chill out before or after sightseeing. We had an amaxing break and will definitely return.

Best of both worlds!!Posted Aug 10, 2013
Pros: Facilities were great, room size, kitchen facilities, maid service and staff made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Local restaurants good.
Cons: Air conditioning in room could not cope with high temps (70 plus) at night. Tram noise was quite loud especially early morning!!!
Location: Good location once you have mastered your way through the park. Was a bit tricky at night but felt reasonably safe and could always get taxi.
Spent an enjoyable 10 days in Rome, sightseeing in the morning then back to the lovely pool to cool down in the afternoon, what more could you ask for!!! Hotel clean and well furnished and within 20 minutes walk through a lovely park to the Spanish steps. Local restaurants were good quality and value for money. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.
