Nice central location.

Pros: The location was nice and walking to all the major attractions was fine for us. Spacious room
Cons: Facilities. It's states that breakfast is included but this is just a few pots of jam and croissants from the local shop. Nothing cooked I'm afraid.
Location: Vatican city was less that 250 metres and all other attractions were within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants (although all very expensive)
Unfortunately, at the time of our visit, the regular land lord was on holiday and none of the other staff could speak a word of English. This made our arrival and check-in a little bit difficult but not the end of the world. Although the staff did not speak our language, they were very friendly and tried their best to assist us. The room was fine in terms of cleanliness and the en-suite bathroom was acceptable but the room was let down by it's then walls and lack of soundproofing. I have no doubts that many of the buildings in Rome suffer from this as they all look very traditional. However, it's not very nice when you're trying to get to sleep and you can hear every word of the conversation outside your door or the room next door, I could even hear the man adjacent snoring each night!

Perfect location just two blocks from saint peter's plaza, very clean room and bathroom, clean towels every day and very good continental breakfast, love the croasants and the Italian salami. Room kind of small for three people, it look bigger on the pictures. Convenient restaurants just 1/2 block away, panini, pizza and pastas, beer and wine. Had a great time in Rome.

Great B&B only 5 min. from Vatican!

Posted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: Personal attention (like making me tea in the afternoon!), good breakfast, great room, good rate.
Cons: Can't think of anything for this price!
Location: Five minutes from Vatican - everything to do with Vatican was here!
We stayed at Alessandro III B&B from 30 Sept to 3 Oct 2013 - just arrived back in Canada two nights ago. We were delighted with the accommodations at Alessandro III and particularly with the host and his father. They are both very warm, friendly and helpful. They helped us with directions, tickets, restaurants, anything they could do for us, they offered to do. The room was large, bright, clean and the bed very comfortable with a private bathroom (shower) en suite. We were literally 5 minutes' walk to the Vatican. Raphael arranged for tickets for us for the general audience with the pope held every Wednesday morning in St. Peter's Square. It was an unforgettable experience, as was the tour of St Peter's itself, the Vatican museum and various other aspects of the area. Raphael and Julliano made our stay in the area really a special treat because of their kindness and attention. We were happy with the room rate and the breakfast itself. We would definitely go back to this B&B again without hesitation and highly recommend it!

Great B&B

This charming B&B is in a great location. It is only a couple of blocks from the Vatican. The owners were very helpful in arranging transportation from the airport to the B&B. Upon arrival, there was a driver in a Mercedes there to pick us up at a fee, of course but cheaper than a taxi. The owners also arranged for a driver to take us to the cruise port the following day.

Good B&B in good location

Pros: Location, owner extremely helpful
Cons: Bathroom, dim lighting
Location: Extremely close to Vatican!
Location was great - 5 minute walk to the Vatican. Owner was extremely helpful with airplane pickup arrangements. Room was comfortable, though lighting was dim. Shower was very weak...no pressure. But for the price, the room was good!

Great Location Hotel

Posted Nov 3, 2011
Location: The Vatican is wonderful, but be aware there will be huge lines, and this was in the last week of October!! The Museums of the Vatican as well as St. Peter's Basilica are amazing, as is the Sistine Chapel. Well worth the long long lines. Being so close to St. Peter's Square it was wonderful to walk down there at night and just soak in the atmosphere. The catacombs are a long way out of the city, but if you have the time well worth a visit, and amazing to see. The Colosseum is an amazing place to just linger and take in the sights of Rome and what happened there. One thing to be aware of is that things tend not to be marked very well when you go to these sights. You do need a very detailed guide book or you will find that there is too much that you really don't understand. jbn
This was in a fantastic location. Just out of the building, turn left and there is a bus that goes downtown, and in the other direction a 10 minute walk to the Vatican and St. Peter's Square. The hotel is difficult to find at first, as it is in a huge building, with many buttons as in an apartment complex. So when we first arrived (a taxi I think is a must to get there the first time) we were looking for a hotel on it's own, but this is in an complex, and you need to look closely to find the B &B listed, then ring the bell, and when you say who you are the door will open.. Once you enter though, it is unlike anything you can image here, as the entryway is marble stairs with a lovely Chandelier, then through another door and finally into your B & B. Just three rooms, but very big and spacious. Tea and Coffee was not in the room, but the gentleman that is there during the evening and night time, is most helpful and if you ask, then he will bring you tea or coffee. Again there was no fridge in the room, but one in the breakfast room. Breakfast was good, basic Continental. We enjoyed staying there and would do so again. We felt very safe and well looked after.
