Standard rooms are not just worth the money

Posted Aug 15, 2014
We initially booked standard room however room condition and interior was just not upto standards of a star hotel hence we ended up upgrading our room for a bit extra. Also the breakfast served wasnt brilliant. However location and staff of the hotel made it for our small loss.

Old Hotel

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: WiFi seems to work
Cons: Everything...from the color of the room to the furniture.
Location: Near tourist attractions
Everything looks old and dated, room is small, definitely not a 4-Star Hotel.

Centrally located to EVERYTHING!

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Cons: As modern Americans we are not used to not having smoking vs. non-smoking rooms, so every tine we walked in we had to contend with the residual smell.
Location: See above.
Stayed six nights at the Antico Palazzo. It was within walking distance of Rome Termini, the Coliseum and many basilicas and plazas. This was great for us who were mostly doing independent travel. The hotel had its own sense of grandeur. The room and amenities matched the price. Staff was the best. VERY helpful in every aspect. We felt welcome and secure that we could get help with pretty much anything.

good budget hotel

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: The staff is the best. Always helpful about where to go and how to get there. Close to termini so you can walk to the metro or train
Cons: Breakfast was mainly bread, we would have liked some fresh fruit in the mornings. The shower could use a shower curtain
Location: Near termini train station, walking 5 minutes. Across from St. Maria de Maggiorre church. A short 20 minute walk to the collesseum
We stayed here seven nights in July. The hotel is a little in need of updating decor wise, but the staff was great. Location is good for trains and walking to sites. There is a breakfast buffet, so that was a big savings. The quad room was a good size for 4 people, and each teenager had thier own twin bed.

Charming but disappointing

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: On the positive side, the buffet breakfast was decent, the d├ęcor charming, and the location close to conveniences.
Cons: The hotel needs to be properly maintained (e.g. a/c, showers, mattresses) and the staff more attentive to guests.
Location: The hotel was close to restaurants, shopping, and near transportation including taxis, the metro, and the train/bus station.
This hotel was a huge disappointment and the website is misleading. The air conditioning in our first room was broken and had been replaced with a fan. When we were unable to tolerate it, we were reluctantly moved to another room whose shower was broken (and not functional)! The beds were harder than anything I've ever experienced and the linens on one of the beds were dirty. The free Wi-Fi was inconsistently available. The woman at the front desk was rude when we expressed our room concerns. The staff was also unable to assist with plans during our stay despite having advertised having concierge services. They simply provided us a map of the city. We have traveled to many places and this hotel is on the bottom of our list.

Location is good

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: Very old. Antique??
Only thing is good is location. It is walking distance from most of the major places. Hotel is very old, with very small rooms, air condition doesn't make he room cold. bathrooms old, dirty, bed are very uncomfortable. hotel lobby smells, I'd NOT stay here again. NOT worth the money.

Very nice hotel, and excellent location.

Location: Walking distance from Termini Bus and Train Station. A lot of restaurants within two blocks. In front of the Maria Maggiore's Church.
Love the place, have a very beautiful and unique church inside the hotel. The staff very nice, specially Laura, who treat us super nicely. The location extraordinary, only few blocks from the Termini station.

Good location in the heart of the City

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Service was good and with friendly staff..
Cons: Bathroom was looking a little tired in places, but other than that the overall experience was very good. Loved the chapel in the hotel building.
Location: Colosseum, Pantheon, Roman Forum etc all within easy walking distance.
We stayed there for a week and were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation.

Old clean hotel with helpful staff.

Posted Jul 5, 2014
This was a nice hotel near the colosseum. The room was small but clean and the wi fi worked well. It was convenient to be able to park our car and they had a very good breakfast buffet. The staff was welcoming and very accommodating.

Great location needs upgrades

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Small and tight the hotel staff are pleasant. The beds are old and worn. The housekeeping staff is poor. The morning breakfast service by Franchesca is wonderful. Air conditioning does not work well the security is good. Roberto at the front desk is helpful.
