Not as advertisedPosted Dec 4, 2013
Although this was advertised as a 4-star hotel it was no where near that. The weather was cool when we were there and the rooms where frigid--especially the public areas. The water in the showers was tepid, at best. I would not recommend this to anyone planning a trip to Rome.

When we arrived the hotel did not have any power or heat. They put us up at a hotel across the street, Hotel Morgana which was very nice. The following morning we had to move back up the street to the Ariston. Our room still did not have heat and when we complained they left a space heater in the room which was not plugged in until we did it ourselves. Overall it was not a pleasant experience. Breakfast was very satisfactory and the location was convenient.

Pros: close to termini
I don't know if all rooms are like the one we had but room 112 has a very very tiny shower. 2ft x 2 ft with a 1.5ft opening to get in. These are est. measurements (measured with my feet) but it was insanely tiny. I just got off a cruise and to have a shower much smaller then the cruise was crazy. Also the heat was horrible in this room. Finally the breakfast was really bad.

Pros: Room clean and tidy, Breakfast very good (I wish they had olives), The safe box was very handy, Price reasonable, situation near the main transport is
Cons: TV WIFI
Location: Good transport Good restaurants I think half of the thieves of Italy are in the area (my mobile was stolen, empty wallet next time),
1- the first surprise to see only one receptionist person dealing with calls reception internal calls issuing bills etc, we had to wait for 15 minutes to be served. 2- we booked a room for three but the third bed was a sofa they removed the back cushions and made it bed ! 3- TV was very disappointing, only one English channel, bad remote control, bad reception No HD 4- WI FI was not available except in the lounge area (if you manage to have a seat) 5- the door lock stopped working the following day.

Good hotel, very convenient for travellers.Posted Sep 5, 2013
Cons: Just the lighting in the bedroom.
We were quite impressed by the cleanliness, the convenient position near the main railway station and the metro and above all the efficient and courteous staff. The breakfast on offer was as good as any 5 star hotel.

DisappointingPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: The location to the train station and a metro.
Cons: The long check ins/check outs
The location of the hotel was perfect for what we wanted, however, as soon as we arrived we realised we were going to have problems. Supposedly a whole floor was out of power and so we had to be moved to a hotel over the road for one of our two nights. Because we were staying for such a short amount of time it was an inconvenience to have to move between hotels for just two nights. I am not saying that the staff weren't friendly and helpful, but the reasons that were given were just unbelievable and so we presumed they had just over-booked. The biggest annoyance/irony, was that the room we were given over the road was significantly better than the Ariston's, which was a lot smaller, less comfy and much more dated. I would recommend the Morgan over the road any day over the Ariston!

A Chic RetreatPosted Aug 31, 2013
Cons: Provide less watery shampoos & make mattresses more comfortable
Location: 1 block to the Termini station, approx 20-30 min walk to the Pantheon & major sights
Note: this is written from an American perspective # of nights stayed: 2 Decor: Stepping inside this Modern, chic, fashionable hotel, one can almost forget the hustling, bustling, noisy, dirty graffiti filled city just right outside the door. Bathroom: Shower was small & directly over head, so if one wanted to shampoo or lather, one had to turn off the water. Shampoo was watery so bring your own. Bed: Decent but not the most comfortable 3 out of 5 stars Internet: Wifi cost 7euros per 24hrs per device Positives: Staff were friendly & recommended a great place for dinner Breakfast: included & terrific Extras: Great location, 1 block to the Termini station, approx 20-30 min walk to the Pantheon & major sights Worth the price?
