nice hotel, so-so locationPosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Pretty, nice rooftop terrace, free mini-bar is great
Cons: Need to lower the edge of a tub
Location: Santa Maria degli Angeli is nearby and spectacular, as well as Santa Maria Maggiore.
We had recently stayed near Piazza Navona, and the change to closer to the Via Nazionale was a bit of a let down. The area, close to Termini, is more touristy and not in a good way. The hotel itself is great, extremely clean and well-run, with very helpful staff and nice breakfast. The rooms vary in size; our 3 person room way very roomy, but the double very small. Be warned about the shower/bathtub--the edge of the tub is high, higher than some of my party could negotiate.

Fantastic hotelPosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Room size, free wifi, free minibar, bathroom, breakfast, rooftop restaurant, tea/coffee lounge, staff
Location: Good central location. Short walk to main sites - Colosseum, Capitoline Hill etc.
The best hotel we have stayed at. Period. Beats many a five star hotel for comfort, facilities, food, and service.

Wow! What a great hotel. Impeccably clean and comfortable. The hotel is well situated and staffed with an A personnel that encompass the entire hotel. This is a true boutique hotel that I will recommend to my friends!

Great hotel. Great location.Posted Aug 10, 2014
Excellent hotel. Very nice and clean. Rooms are a little small but not too bad for European standards. The bathroom was good size which was a big plus compared to other European hotels. The staff was outstanding helping us with all our needs and questions. Great location within walking distance to all the tourist sites. Nice business center to help with our computer needs. Would definitely stay there again.

little oasis from the craziness of the cityPosted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: clean, quiet, up-to-date, free wifi, terrace, food
Location: close to trevi fountain (though it was closed for renovation),Spanish steps and the train station. lots of shopping and restaurants close by.
The Artemide is a gorgeous hotel. It is close to walking to most attractions but when you enter the hotel the hustle and bustle is gone. The rooms are very up-dated, free wifi, the bathroom is spacious and clean. My room had it's own courtyard which was very lovely. The restaurant at the top floor was very good and again it was nice to have an excellent meal out of the touristy part of town. Even though it was outside you couldn't hear the street noise. The breakfast had a ton of options for everyone and the coffee was very good. I didn't have enough time to try the spa but when I return I will make a point of it. I think they have a requirement that in order to be hired you must be attractive because the whole staff certainly was. I highly recommend the Artemide.

Great hotel close to Termini stationPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: The staff was excellent.
Location: 10 mins walk from Termini Station, about 30 mins walking distance to most of the popular sightseeing areas.
We got a free upgrade and stayed at the hotel for three nights in the newly refurbished room. Towels were missing, but were brought to the room soon after we called (and even got additional ones!). The staff at the reception, the restaurant & bar and breakfast were excellent, and the room was very comfortable.
