Delightful quiet little place

Posted Jun 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Tucked away at the end of a dead-end street, this quiet little hotel was perfect for our two families with teens. Kate & Sam speak perfect English, and have a great wealth of knowledge about Rome. Each room has a little kitchen and a balcony, and there's a cappachino machine in the little office area. And wi-fi. Best of all, it's quiet & peaceful at night after a hectic day in Rome. Loved it!

Good, just know what you are getting

Beautiful accommodations and reasonably close to the train station, however not too close to anything and there were very few niceties provided by other hotels (a coffee pot woulda been nice). Would be nicer for extended stays, becoming a home away from home, but for a short stay I would have preferred a more traditional hotel.

Friendly staff but not the cleanest room

Posted Oct 29, 2012
Pros: The owners and staff were amazingly friendly and helpful.
Cons: Bathroom had a musty smell. The sheets had white stains on them.
Location: Not that close to the Vatican as advertised. Quiet street however.
The hotel owners and staff were amazingly friendly. However the sheets seemed clean but had white stains on them. The bathroom had a musty smell to it. The hot water did not work initially but was quickly fixed. The room was clean but not spotless. Corners etc. had dirt. A good place to say but only good.

Great Accomodation

Posted Oct 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
Very comfortable and professionally run establishment - absolutely no complaints during stay (though it would have been nice if location was a bit closer to historic centre). I would highly recommend this apartment complex to others.

Will come back

Posted Sep 14, 2012
Pros: Friendly and attentive staff
Cons: The cobbled street leading to it! lol, but not an issue.
Location: Ideal for families, older couples or people driving.
These were the most gracious host one could hope for. Do upgrade though, as the bigger apartments are beautiful.

Great Italian Villa

Posted May 22, 2012
Pros: Huge living space
Cons: Road leading to the hotel
Location: Superb to the Vatican and the metro
An beautiful and well maintained Italian villa in the midst of the city outskirts by a nature preserve. Great people working the reception desk - exceptional English speaking capabilities. Huge apartment space (by Italian standards). The location to the Vatican is fantastic - only 25 minutes by foot - much less by a bus that stops right on the street the apartments are located on. The metro subway stop is only 15 minutes by foot which will connect you to anywhere in Rome in short order. The actual road to the hotel could be a little disconcerting to some as it is not a particularly well maintained street environment. Stay here if you don't mind a short commute to the center of all things Rome!

Wonderful Team

Posted Oct 17, 2011 on Hotels.com
The team at Aurelia Vatican Apartments was so welcoming, and ensured we had a pleasant stay. It's a beautiful and quiet property, and is maintained well. The only negative is that it is not centrally located, but is a short 10-15 min. walk to the Metro. Buses are also available. For the value, I'd highly recommend it. However - I wouldn't recommend it if you want to be closer to all the main sites or the city center.
