Cozy place with a great ownerPosted Sep 12, 2014
The hospitality of Mr. Leonardo was just amazing. Also, as others have mentioned, this guesthouse is a nice, cozy place at a convenient location within 10 min by Metro from central Rome. There is also an amazing, family-owned restaurant within walking distance called "osteria del cavaliere" that we really liked and highly recommend. This restaurant requires reservations but was great to go to for dinner after returning from touring the main attractions of Rome all day. Overall, it was a great experience especially considering the great price!

Leonard is a great host. We were lost in Roma - we contacted him and came to pick us up. Very peaceful area. Across the street you can find a Bakery, a Pizza place, around the corner a couple of very good Restaurants and retail stores. The subway is walking distance and you can get a pass for the day - for 6 EU - a must do. The room was super clean and comfortable with AC.

Decent place, well locatedPosted Jul 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
It is a well located and decent place. Nice owner, does not any speak English but he will give you a card with his English speaking daughter's phone number to help you out. It is well located close to a metro station. The rooms are distributed in buildings across the street. There were some issues with the WiFi which took two days to fix. You have to give him the towels and sheets to be washed by calling him, you do not get automatic maid service

Very good service but language barrierPosted Jul 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
I liked the hotel and the owner was excellent as far as providing assistance. The only problem was transportation to hotel not the greatest because we took a train and once we got off the train there was not any elevator to take our luggage down the steps so we had to lug luggage down steps one at a time. Also getting a taxi to hotel was a challenge because none were present at stop so had to find someone who spoke English to ask them to call for us. Owner spoke limited English as well.

The host was kind, but there were things we didn´t like about the place. We want to point out that maybe some of these things were caused by the language barrier between them and us. We didn´t like that the host came in and out of the place whenever they wanted. We weren´t served breakfast for all of the days we stayed. Although we turned it on, the AC didn´t seem to work and we had problems sleeping at night. Although the hotel was close to the Metro A line, it was rather far from the city center - we would have preferred something closer (but this was more our mistake than theirs). And our shower was clogged, so that we were standing in "dirty" water while bathing. Other than that, it was fine.

Good value just a bit off the beaten trackPosted May 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
We can't say enough about the hospitality of Leonardo Lungo (the property owner). He was a grandfatherly sort who treated us like we were his own family. This is a no-frills B&B, but the proximity to a variety of restaurants and public transportation --in addition to the hospitality-- made it well worth the price.

Nice Owner at Convenient LocationPosted Nov 1, 2013
Mr. Leonard and his wife are very kind. They received us warmly although talking in English did take us some time to understand. The room is ok, and the breakfast is simple but enough. Mr. Leonard brought little gifts to our wifes after we checked out, which was a nice surprise. One suggestion: Try to take Metro instead of bus. Even with a transfer from Line A to B or from B to A, Metro is much faster.

Bed and very simple breakfastPosted Oct 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was OK for the money. I do not recommend getting bus from Central station to this place. Best and easy access is with the train. Do that you be happy. Getting a bus means you are going for a ride around Rome. with train is only 10 min. to all the tourist area. And don't expect a continental American breakfast.
