Mixed feelings on location....

Posted May 11, 2013
As stated, the hotel room is about 1-2kms away from check-in. But not stated: location of room is not accessible by car - it is in a pedestrian only area. So even if you take a taxi, from check-in to the room, you still have to drag your luggage about 400m. To make matters worst, the room is on the third floor - NO elevator. So, if you have any substantial luggage I would not recommend this place. If you are a back-packer, it's "ok". Location is great, 5 minute walk to the Spanish Steps and all the designer boutiques are literally, "just down stairs". And full access to the metro and taxis. No A/C, room is small, furniture is old and the room I had was facing other buildings - very noisy. Not my greatest hotel experience, but not the worst. I would not stay there again regardless of the price point.

Close to Spanish Steps and Metro Station

The room was exactly what we expected. We got what we paid for: a clean room with a private bath right smack in the middle of must see sights. It was very convenient to be so close to everything. We were able to go to the room to freshen up before heading back out in the evening. If you want a lobby, room service, and an elevator, this is not your place. You have to pick up your key at a hotel near Roma Termini. From there we were giving a map showing where the room is located. The room itself is on the 4th floor. If you have a tremendous amount of luggage, this place is not for you. You'll hate the walk up 4 flights of stairs. The room is in a safe location and we never were concerned about safety regardless of what time we walked in our out. All in all, it met our needs perfectly: a clean and inexpensive room; very near sights, food, and shopping; we were given 2 bottles of water each day which saved us a trip to the store for water. The water was stored in the mini-fridge and was cold before we left for the day. We didn't need or want any other amenities. Please consider what type of accomodations you need before making this reservation. I would definitely stay here again.

good location, but check-in is 2 metro stops away!

When booking this hotel make sure you read everything on the webpage because the check in is at a hotel in a totally different location (2 stops by metro) and this so called hotel is just 2 rooms in an apartment building. Location is convienient to metro and most attractions, room is in quiet location. Beware it is on the 4th floor with no elevator and there is no hotel reception, wifi or breakfast and no phone to contact reception at check in hotel. If your looking for an actual hotel where u can be in touch with hotel staff for info, etc then do not book this hotel. If u dont require a hotel reception then this hotel (room) will be ok. They do have a cleaner that comes to clean room but he doesnt come til the afternoon. Also u can only pay in cash and u have to return key to the check in hotel which is inconveinient! The room itself was good but the check in system they have is very inconveinient.

Location Location

I recommend this hotel for the location as it does not get any better than one block away from the Spainish Step and a major tube connection. The room was nice and was clean. There are a lot of step stairs to get to the room which is not very condusive to getting your luggage to your room. The check in process was terrible and the check out was even worse. I would stay again but would expect a "gong show" at check in.
