Great location, close to the VaticanPosted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: The location, the breakfast and Maurizio.
Location: The entrance to the Vatican Museum is about 700m away and we pretty much walked everywhere with a 9 year old and she coped with the walking well.
Maurizio was extremely helpful in suggesting what we could do each day with a young child. The B&B is close to the metro, the bus station, lots of restaurants, a supermarket and a really good gelato shop. The breakfast was also fantastic. Thanks Maurizio!

Excellent starting pointPosted Jun 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Maurizio contacted us before our stay to answer questions about directions and payment. He made a good Italian breakfast and clean up our rooms each day. The B&B is just a three minute walk from a metro stop. I highly recommend!

Great location: wonderful hostPosted May 18, 2014
Pros: Besides the great location, Mauitizio is a wonderful host. Nice and clean place to stay. Breakfast is plentiful and tasty.
Location: It is a great starting point for walking tours throughout the city. as well, Mauritizio provides great information for the train, bus and metro.
close to metro, train station and bus routes; easy walk from them all. 10 minute walk to Vatican and St. Peter's. Mauritizio gave us easy directions from the cruise ship, taking the train to St. Peter's stop, switching train to go back one stop to Valle Aurelia. Take the Angelo Emo exit from the train and the B&B is just 150 Metres from the stop. Great neighborhood with lots of grocery shops, restaurants, shopping. Felt safe and comfortable walking about even in the evening.

Great location, Friendly proprietorPosted Jul 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Staying at B&B Nonna Dea was half the pleasure of our whole trip. Maurizio was very hospitable, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast delicious! And the location was great because of it's close proximity to the Vatican and a Metro stop. Maurizio also arranged for a driver for us to and from the airport, which was above and beyond our expectations. We will stay here again when in Rome!

Home Away From HomePosted Oct 19, 2011
Maurizio, the hotel owner, was extremely accommodating. He helped us with walking tours of Rome. His breakfasts were the best we had anywhere in Europe (warm frittattas, etc.). We were in a neighborhood, not a tourist area. It was nice to have quiet after touring all day. There are only 2 rooms with a shared bath. It was like having your own apartment. Overall good experience.
