Felt like homePosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: It had everything; television with cable, air conditioning, safety box, fridge, kitchen, etc. It's located very close to downtown. The staff is great.
Cons: It would be ideal if they had a staff member at the hotel 24hrs.
We did not know what to expect when we pulled up on the street this hotel was located on. An older lady met us at the entrance and she happened to be the owner of the hotel. She let us in to the hotel and showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed before she left. It was a bed and breakfast hotel and was situated on the the 4th floor of what looked like an apartment complex and they do not have an office to check in at; you have to contact the owner by phone or email to schedule a time to meet in order to be let in to the complex. Each room had its own bathroom and was comfortable and met every need for a perfect stay. The air conditioning worked wonders, the rooms were big, and the bathrooms had everything you would need and the beds were spacious and comfortable. The owner Anna made sure we had everything we needed and asked us what we wanted for breakfast every morning, and if they did not have what we wanted to eat, she would have her hotel staff member Pamela go to the market every morning to get us what we wanted. The owner and Pamela allowed us to use their kitchen if we needed and were accommodating in every way. The hotel itself is a 10-15 minute walk from the main center of Rome where the Colosseum and Roman Forum are situated and the supermarkets and restaurants are on the same street and in walking distance.

Great B&B 15 minutes walking to city centerPosted May 5, 2014
The staff was very helpful, spoke English wonderfully, and provided us with breakfast carted into our room every morning at a time of our choosing. Bathroom was very clean, and shower, always hit or miss, was the perfect temperature and pressure. The room was not terribly spacious, but far from cramped. It was perfect for us, since we spent most of our time outside!

Lovely stay in Roma, Fantastico!Posted Feb 17, 2014
My husband and I had a lovely stay at B&B Santa Croce. The staff was amazing; they even accommodated a 6am breakfast for us (we had to be at the airport)! Breakfast was so good, the balcony was a treat and the room was very clean! Thanks for the lovely stay!

Practical, comfortable and reasonable.Posted Oct 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great location, basic but comfortable room with good bed and street balcony. Continental breakfast brought to you in your room on a trolley which was good. Very friendly landlord although not much English spoken. This wasn't too much of a problem for me though even though I speak next to no Italian.

Loud, Loud, LoudPosted Oct 7, 2012 on Hotels.com
Upon our arrival we sat for an hour on the steps waiting for the owner to arrive ~ he knew we were coming and it was long after the check-in time! If you want to sleep at night don't stay here ~ it was extremely loud traffic and building noise! The airport transportation my daughter arranged with the owner never showed up and she was asked to leave a good hour before check-out time. The breakfast was good and the room was clean...so you decide!

Acceptable for one night stay, to get to the airport in the morning, but will not work for multiple nights
