Good LocationPosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great place to stay. The only thing bothered me was this hotel still uses keys. You are given one key and you have to leave it with the front desk when you go out. After going out, we came back and the person at the desk was not the same person we left our key with. I asked for the key to my room and they gave it to me. I could have been anybody and he would have given me key.

Clean hotel with good size bathroomPosted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: very white linen looked really clean
Cons: WiFi connection
Location: 5 - 10 minutes walk to the Vetican with eateries and mini markets close by
Boutique hotel need bigger Hotel Sign outside at the entrance ... Taxi driver missed the place a couple of times. Friendly staff with clean room ... neat decor with little pastries, water and juice in reception area to welcome guests. Had some trouble connecting to WiFi in room, but able to connect in reception area. Good value for the money based on Canadian standard.

Not what I expectedPosted Jul 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The air conditioning was out the first night of our two night stay. The receptionist made arrangements for us to go to another Best Western with an upgrade. On our way there we realized that it was not in the part of town we wanted to be in and also was rated of lower quality with some issues of security. We returned to the hotel and stayed there one night without Air Conditioning. Not as bad as I thought although very hot in Rome those days because there were fans in the room. The breakfast was nice and the service very hospitable.

An Excellent Unique ExperiencePosted Jun 29, 2013
Pros: Hear the favourite music in the room and bathroom. And bathroom has disco ball lighting.
Location: A short walk to the metro and Vatican City. Bus 23 or 70 stop just around the corner can take you to the heart of Rome and the main attractions.
This is an excellent unique experience that we will always remember! We were warmly greeted by the front desk staffs immediately upon arrival. They offered us drinks and snacks while process the check-in, although the check-in was only couple minutes. Throught out of our stay, all the staffs were so helpful and friendly. The smiles made us felt very pampered. You can pick musics from their CD collections, play the favourite music in your room and bathroom with disco ball lighting. The quality of the audio system is super! The room and bathroom are very clean. The room decorated very well, spacious and quiet. The air condition works effectively and WiFi is fast. Breakfast area is very adorable, you can enjoy the breakfast in the beautiful backyard. Breakfast lady makes very good cappuccino for you. You can make your own fresh squeesed sweet orange juice. Foods are plenty and very delicious. You can take fruits/deserts from the kitchen when you are hungry late of the night. The hotel is such a comfortable retreat, that sometimes you'd just like to stay in and don't want to go out. We highly recommend this hotel, will stay here again next time.

AMazing find in Rome-minutes from the VaticanPosted Jun 18, 2013
Pros: The breakfast and the staff
Cons: size of the rooms are smaller than North American rooms
Location: Easy access to the Vatican and 10 minute walk to the metro station
The location to the Vatican is a 10-15 minute walk, the morning breakfast is plentiful it can hold you over till lunch time, lots of fruit, fresh juices, cereal, eggs, cheese, croissants, pastries and all included with the price-best deal ever!!! The staff were amazing and so friendly, they made all the calls for our tour company to confirm our location and pick up area, they spoke English well and taught us some Italian. I travel a lot and I say for the bang for your buck you need to stay at this property, its like a boutique hotel with less than 50 rooms, we did have a standard room but we upgraded to a junior suite for 5 days, the standard suite was comfortable as well, we stayed in that room for 4 days. You wont go wrong staying at the Best Western Franklin Cheers

Excellent stay at the Best Western Franklin HotelPosted May 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our 2-night stay with the hotel was excellent. We decided to take the Metro from Roma Termini train station to the hotel during Thursday morning rush hour. Big mistake. The hotel was about a 10 min walk from the nearest Metro but within walking distance (5 mins) from the Vatican. The continental breakfast was excellent and was better than the breakfast we had at our hotels in Milan, Venice and Florence. The room was nice and quaint. The bathroom had a disco ball feature which looked cool. A taxi ride from the hotel to Roma Termini train station takes about 10-15 mins depending on traffic, which is better than taking the Metro. There are nice restaurants near the closest Metro which we availed of during out stay there. I would definitely book with this hotel the next time I visit Rome. A rating.
