“Best Western Stay”

Best Western Riviera was very clean and the staff very helpful. The shuttle service was on time and took us right to the portal at FCO. Breakfast was good and had a varfiety. The only problem we encountered was in the evening we ask for a suggestion for an evening meal. We started walking to where the suggested restaurant was but my wife after walking all day in the Vatrican did not wantg to walk any further, so we stopped at first open restaurant, whichg was OK but not great. I would stay there again. They were nice and much more reasonable then hotels closer to airport..

“Rome, Italy & the Beach too.”

About 5Km to the airport and 100meters to the beach. Great reception by Vincenzo at the front desk. Quiet neighborhood close to restaurants and the beach. No car needed. Shuttle gets you to your flight for only 6 euros per person, on time. All necessary amenities included. Good hot showers, room fridge, firm mattress, TV, A/C, big towels.

“Nice and close to airport”

The hotel is very close to the water=Mediterranean. Fiumincio is a resort town that has seen better days. The main reason to stay at the hotel is because it is close to the airport,. My room was fine, with a comfortable bed, very clean bathroom and a TV. The hotel offers a shuttle for 6 euros one-way. Walking along the water is pleasant and there are a few restaurants, convenience-type store and a gelateria.

“Great Little Hotel”

Great little hotel. Clean, great staff and a great full breakfast. Location is perfect by old city port. Restaurants nearby are a bit expensive but great. Transportation to/fro airport is efficient and fairly inexpensive. Hotel offers transportation to Rome city center at fair price. You can stay in the city until 10:30pm at which time they come a pick you up at their designated location. They were on time. This is a no frill hotel but clean and customer friendly. if you are cruising this is a good spot to stay.

We were extremely pleased with this hotel. It is in a location which is near the airport. There are restaurants within easy walking distance. It is a block away from the Mediterranean Sea with wonderful walking. It was very clean, and the people were very friendly and helpful.

“Close to Airport”

This hotel worked out perfectly for us. It was close to the airport and the taxi driver had no problem finding it. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful--and they had staff on hand that spoke English. Our room was clean and comfortable. It is in a neighborhood with some noise but not bad. Overall a very good value.

“EXCELLENT VALUE and SERVICE”

Great hotel for spending the last night (or two) near FCO airport (10-15 min drive). Close to the Ostia Roman ruins (closed on Mondays), Decent/good restaurants within walking distance. The Leonardo shopping mall is also 15-20 min drive. The surrounding neighborhood is not the best and the nearby beach/water is not for swimming. However the hotel is excellent value with free parking, free buffet breakfast, internet (wi-fi), etc. It has just been renovated. Only problem is that the room door slam shut and can be noisy if people are leaving at odd ours to catch flights (should be easily fixed by management). Service is excellent. Highly recommended.

“Good airport hotel”

We flew in from Sicily around 2pm and needed a place to stay overnight for an early morning flight to the States. We chose the Best Western--- a 15 minute cab ride and located one short block from the beach. The hotel was fine. It was great having free internet, and even though the shower was small, it was larger than the one in Sicily! The best part though, was the beach. Luckily, it was a beautiful day, so we walked to the beach and sat at the quaint little beach bar, sipping cheap wine, listening to Reggae music and enjoying our last day in Italy. The area is not upper-class, but one where locals hang out. We asked the front desk for a restaurant recommendation and decided on GastOne, which was the closest one to the hotel. I ordered their sea bass with eggplant and pesto, which came surrounded with freshly fried thin potato chips. I have to say that this dish was the best fish I had in our 10 days in Rome and Sicily! We had been trying tiramisu wherever we could and were so disappointed that it wasn't on the dessert list. However, when we asked the waiter about dessert, he said not to follow the menu, as the desserts change daily. And guess what! They had tiramisu! I felt it was the best one of the trip. It was a fantastic meal and a great way to end our trip. If you're OK with a local, 2 or 3 star area, this is a nice spot. You'll need to overlook the trash on the streets, but the beach appeared clean. If you want something closer to the airport, try the Hilton.
