Food, fashion & historical sites at your doorstep.Posted Sep 6, 2014
The location was superb, on a street with high end shopping. Meters away from historical sites & wonderful places to eat. The room was roomy & luxurious. It included things that you don't normally see in other places eg free use of the espresso machine (complete with capsules), a scale, a separate shower & bath with lots of towels, bathrobes & slippers.

Near fancy shopsPosted Aug 18, 2014
Good - rooms not in main hotel - across street but that wasn't an issue.

The owner wrote a personal guide book for guests that is full of inside information and trustworthy recommendations. Everything is within walking distance, though a cab to Vatican City is advisable. The property itself has the feel of apartments rather than hotel. This is great since you don't feel harassed by ott service offers.

A gem of a small hotelPosted May 9, 2014
Pros: Excellent location, modern furnishings, plenty of cupboard space and a comfortable large bed and super clean bathroom
Cons: A drab reception area does not do justice to the stylish bedrooms
Location: Between Piazza Popoli and the Spanish steps, in the heart of Rome, with shops and restaurants virtually on the doorstep.
Having booked late, we were allocated the last and smallest room in the house. Even so, the room was beautifully and elegantly arranged, so we didn't feel too cramped. The large flat screen TV and Nespresso machine were very much appreciated. The stylish bathroom could not be faulted. Plenty of space for hanging and folded clothes helped with the illusion of space. The staff were knowledgeable and always helpful. Breakfast was a delight, sat on the roof top terrace. What more could one ask for? A deluxe suite next time!

Superb hotelPosted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: Attention to detail
Location: Excellent location near the Piazza del Popolo and quality shopping. 5 minutes from the Spanish Steps. Close to Borghese Gardens.
Staff were very helpful. Limited catering as they only provide breakfast but that was what we wanted. . Room very tastefully decorated. We were at the rear and it was very quiet. at night.

First time in RomePosted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: Clean modern style. Helpful staff.
Location: Lots of shopping and food nearby.
My wife and I stayed just two nights here. We are newbies to European travel. We have been to France a few years ago and now Italy. We would usually rather stay a few less nights and get a better hotel... then the other way around. This hotel is one of our all time favorites. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Great room, comfortable bed and very clean. Wonderful breakfast served on the rooftop... great place to meet fellow travelers. The staff was able to help us with tours and transportation. Just one block down we went to an opera performance in a local church.... amazing!

Babying 181Posted Oct 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Babuino 181 is a marvelous boutique hotel in an exceptional location near historic sites and upscale shopping. The staff are friendly, helpful, and totally professional. The rooms are lovely, extremely well designed, comfortable and perfectly soundproofed in a city where that is important. The rooftop terrace for breakfast and cocktails provides an oasis of calm from the tourist madness below. The charming owner, also the proprietor of several other nearby properties, is frequently on site ensuring that all is as it should be.
