“Aran blu”
This hotel was fine. Close to the Lido which was nice. About 20-25 minutes to the airport. The neighborhood was not the best but still fine. Ther were no restaurants tat close.
“What a surprise in Rome!”
Instead of choosing an impersonal airport hotel when you need to take an early flight out of Rome, try this one, particularly if your stop-over is in summer. This hotel is situated in a lovely resort, with wonderful views of the beach and a few steps away from a great marina with lots of shopping and dining options. A real surprise. The hotel itself is excellent. Brand new, well-designed and has a pleasant staff.
“Not a 4 star”
In this day and age it is rediculous that a 4 star hotel does not have wireless internet access in every room. Also for those that are traveling on business or that need their facebook fix: the internet is not free. The morning breakfast was horrible, the food ranged from horrible tasting to no taste at all. The area the hotel is in is also not that great. It looks like the bad area of town in most american cities. It is right across from the beach and next to the port, so if you want to go to the beach or on a boat it is a good location, but if you are visiting rome for the sights you are quite a bit a ways away from the main attractions (vatican, colloseum, circus maximus).
“Sounds of the Sea”
Comfortable hotel with views of the sea - It is directly across the street with no buildings blocking the sights. The rooms were modern and clean. The main elevator wasn't working when I was there, but I think it was a temporary inconvenience. It was 10 minutes to the airport.
“"On the beach"”
I enjoyed the hotel, but it was a few miles out of the way from most of the restaurants, where you needed to take a taxi or public bus. The taxis were very expensive. The rooms in the hotel were very nice. The only thing I did not like was we were traveling with another couple and there was nowhere to sit for a drink or just meet. The lobby was very small with just a few seats. They did have a restaurnat on the upper floor, but if you didn't want to go there, you were left with nowhere to go. There was no courtyard or any place outside to sit.
“Fine hotel, sad neighborhood”
The hotel is ok, clean and remodeled. But the neighborhood does not that nice and save. Works for staying overnight as it's near the airport.
“not bad”
Tried to get me to pay an extra 30 euro per night for a beach view. No instructions on room phone on how to make calls, get a wake up call etc. The room was ok, clean, view of apartment building fron balcony. Far walk to town to restraurants, etc.
“Disappointing experience”
Our room was nice and clean, and staff was helpful. However, the both elevators were out of service and we had to carry our luggage ourselves from the 3rd floor, two large barking dogs were kenneled in a courtyard immediately behind the hotel who could be heard throughout the facility, the restaurant staff was extremely slow, and the airport shuttle was no longer running. The driver of the car service ordered for us by the staff did not speak English and dropped us at the wrong airport terminal. This could have been eliminated by the staff providing proper instructions. This was not what I expected from a four star hotel. A disappointing end to a wonderful trip to a beautiful country.

“Great Hotel, Quirky Location”
This wonderful hotel is right on the beach in a neighborhood of endless apartment buildings of uneven quality and not much else. It didn't feel like a good place to be walking around at night. Fortunately, the restaurant in the hotel was excellent. If you need a place convenient to the airport, the location is fine. Hotel staff were attentive and very helpful.

Ostia - Pomezia, Italy: Lying 31 kilometres southwest of Rome, Lido di Ostia this is Romes seafront. Most of the busy beach is privatised, so there is a surcharge for use and loungers and parasols. The jewel of the area is nearby Ostia Antica. The architectural site gives a fascinating insight into the everyday life of sailors, merchants and slaves dating to the fourth century B.C. It later became Ancient Romes port for 600 years.
