Rome city centre hotel. Close to main features.

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Location. Comfy bed. Nice staff.
Cons: Would love more cups of tea.
This hotel is well placed for visiting the main sites in Rome. We chose not to use any public transport but the furthest we walked was the colostrum which was 45 mins and an enjoyable walk. The Vatican is only 20 mins walk. Loads of restaurants nearby to suit all pockets. Comfy room. Great shower. Roof garden to sit out at night. Breakfast buffet simple but fresh and plenty to eat. Lobby manned 24/7 helpful staff. Would happily use it again if we went to Rome.

Looks so different on their website!

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Staff were most helpful.
Cons: The overall decor and aircon -
Location: Fantastic location to shops, coffee houses, supermarkets and restaurants. 10 minute walk from the Vatican with Trevi Fountain, etc all accessible.
Looks so different on their website but for walking distance to the Vatican area, it is however, very convenient with one of the best little coffee shops adjacent to the hotel. To be honest it could have been worse and all members of staff did everything to help make our stay as pleasant as possible!

Nice hotel, close to the metro.

This is a very nice, friendly & clean hotel. Adequate breakfast in the morning as well as a professional and friendly staff. Conviniasly located near the metro in the quiet residential neighborhood at the same time 10 min away from everything.

Read Before Booking with this Hotel!!

Pros: The location was good for us.
Cons: They should not over book. And the room we had was nothing like they advertise. More breakfast selection with a coffee pot in the dining area.
Location: The Vatican and Sistine Chapel was very close. And great shopping nearby.
We checked into this hotel on Sept.3. The hotel had over booked, so we had to spend our first night in a hotel next door. Then go back to the Beldes the next morning. The WiFi was terrible. The comforter on the bed was so heavy we couldn't even use it. The mini bar in the room was never stocked with anything! They advertise a bar. The only thing we saw was 2 vending machines. So not really a bar. Also at breakfast there was not much to choose from. No English speaking TV channels. House keeping never came till late in the afternoon. Two nights before we were to check out the air conditioning broke. So they let us spend the night in another room that was the size of a walk in closet. The next morning we went back to our room. Were told the a/c would be fixed that day. It was not. After hours of sight seeing came back to a very hot room. They were working on the a/c so had to turn all power off in the hotel. Later that day we called down and ask for another room besides the closet. So they took us to their annex which was 1 1/2 blocks away. Then had to walk back to Beldes at 3 a.m. for our car to the air port. So in 6 nights we were in 4 different rooms. Very aggravating and tiring.

Nice hotel for a short stay

Posted Sep 8, 2014
I liked this hotel as it is very close to the Vatican and important streets in Rome. Although our room was in a different building, the room was still spacious, clean and quite. The breakfast was nothing special. I recommend the hotel for those who are planning a 2-3 nights stay in Rome. The staff is very nice and helpful.

I spent most of my time exploring Rome, so my room was only for sleeping and eating breakfast. Loved it.

Pros: Great staff who were at hand 24/7 if you needed them. Lovely breakfast and modern bedrooms. Loved the shower as well!
Location: Vatican 15 minutes away, Lepanto metro station 5 minutes away, restaurants all along Via Ezio which is the road adjacent to Beldes main building?
The hotel is staffed 24 hours a day and you can call them at any time from your room. They all speak English very well so if your italian is a bit rusty, you can rely on English. They actually have two buildings, the main hotel and the annex. We were in the annex which is a block down the road (literally a 2 minute walk). The buildings in Rome are all apartment buildings so we felt like we were a part of the city and blended in. The rooms were very clean however they were still restoring the building so some paintwork was a bit rough. The room was air conditioned and had Sky tv - you can change the language using the 'i' button on the remote. Clean towels are supplied each day and they make the bed and sweep the floors. They even out our dirty washing in a laundry bag as we were lazy and dumped it on the floor. Breakfast is continental and is topped up if the supplies are low. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and if we went back to Rome, would probably book with Beldes again. The location is great as it's a 5 minute walk from metro station Lepanto and a 15 minute walk from The Vatican City, 20 minute walk from the town centre. Attractions such as the Colosseum would be about 45 minute walk away, but we got the metro as it was so accessible.

Great Hotel

Pros: Rooms really nice, staff helpful
Cons: Busy at breakfast time. Takes a table when busy. Only one member of staff on.
Location: Vatican about 10 mins walk. Losts of places to eat nearby.
Really nice room & bathroom with roll top bath. Staff very helpful, breakfast was good although tricky to get a seat the later you went to breakfast. Metro just round the corner, walking distance to Vatican, Spanish steps & trevi fountain. Takes around 30mins to walk to Spanish steps but nice walk over the river. Lots to see.

Cons: English TV channels (but who stays in, right!?) and that is nit picking.
Our room was lovely and was cleaned daily (new towels too). The bed was comfortable and spacious. We found the staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was great. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody going to Rome.
