“viva Italia”
great find. very comfortable and affordable, with a great staff. all friendly and helpfull. the hotel seems a bit off the beaten path at first, but it is very walkable to the colliseum and easy access to bus and metro. I liked being out of the tourist hub, made me feel more Italiano.
“Very Pleased”
We really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast on the 8th floor is an every-morning-must if you want to get an early start (as many places weren't open terribly early in the city center). Not to mention the fact that the food was delicious and the view is great! The location was great for us, as the hotel is only a few blocks walk to the subway, and only 2 stops from most everything you would want to see and do! Booking Tip: The road that the hotel is on is very busy, ask for the 5th floor or above to minimize noise
“Really good location, all the basics, and then some”
I'm really beginning to like Best Western. They are very consistent and often one of the more affordable options. Location was great. 87 bus stop right in front of the hotel. Metro is about a 10 min walk. Front desk is very helpful. Free coffee and internet in the lobby. Breakfast is complete with eggs, bacon, meats, cheese, and a few types of bread. Rooms are adequate and most have a balcony. Bathrooms were recently redone and are nice. AC seemed a bit weak, but was not an issue as we could open balcony door and window, may be more of a concern during hot summer months. Finally, not a whole lot of activity in the area, but there are a handful of restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay here again.
“Comfort in Rome”
A short walk from San Giovanni Metro station. Not near the main sights in Rome, but the room was comfortable, with good air conditioning and nice bathroom with shower. Each day breakfast is free in a breakfast room on the eighth floor, complete with eggs, bacon, croissants, toast, cereal, and fruit. The free breakfast is a real money saver and a time saver. The food service staff are friendly and polite. All in all the comfort of the hotel makes up for the location being a little ways from the main sights.
“Awesome hotel for a low price! Recommended”
This best western was a breath of fresh air, after several bad experiences while traveling through Italy. When we got there, the front desk was very helpful. I (20) was traveling with just my little sister (17). they always took care of us, gave us advice, a map of the city, help finding train tickets online, etc. The breakfast is very good with a lot of options compared to some of the other places i saw. the bathrooms which were obviously remodeled are very nice with cool showerheads, probably the nicest part of the room. really modern. the only real downside to this hotel is that the elevator is very small and takes a long time. so you have to use the stairs sometime.
“Excellent place, would definitely stay there again!”
We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights, during July. The trip was mainly for sightseeing. The location is very good, away from the crowded city center. Transportation is close ( 2 metro stations - S.Giovanni and Re Di Roma) around 5 minutes away, and a bus station just in front the hotel (buses 360 and 87). The area is non touristic, thus the prices are good. An awesome pizzeria and Gelateria are located in Re Di Roma, must try them! The hotel itself, is a small cozy one. The room size is ok, totally renovated, new and very clean. Breakfast is served at 7.30 at the 8th floor where you can have a view of Rome from the top. The breakfast buffet was convenient, Ham, eggs, cheese, cold cuts, coffee, tea .... etc. The staff are very friendly especially Monica. At the entrance there is a free coffee server machine, it was nice to grab a cup of coffee whenever you needed! Free WIFI access is available upon request. The only disadvantage, is the lift as it's very small, but it was no big deal at all. Overall it is a true value for money, our experience at the hotel was great, and we definitely would go there again.
“Impressed”
Little bit far from all the attractions and shopping area. We were told that it is 20 minutes walk from Colosseum -- which is not true. It takes at least 10 minutes by bus. However, Great value for the money.
“Comfy Hotel”
Lovely little hotel just minutes from all Rome has to offer. Room was decent size w/ little balony, free wifi and bathroom that looked very modernized w/ great shower head. Front desk was very hospitable and accomodating. Only drawback (which may not be for some) was street traffic noise (cars honking, bikes, etc.). Breakfast buffet was ok to be free...we mainly just grabbed couple croissants every day. All in all, would definitely recommend if you want to be close to everything but not in the middle.
“Want to return to This Hotel.”
Lovely hotel and the staff could not have been more helpful. We would recommend it to any one the would like be walking distance of the Colosseum and the Forum - not a short walk but a nice walk. We would stay there again if we were in Roma. Thanks for finding such a wonderful place.
“Great little hotel outside the center of Rome”
The hotel would have one difficulty for persons in wheelchairs -- the entry has about 7 steps before you reach the elevator going to the lobby on level 3. But the hotel is great and fairly recently renovated. Excellent, helpful desk staff who met every expectation and nearly every whim we had. Breakfast is on the top floor in a room with panoramic view, and the breakfast buffet fare is varied and delicious. Evening happy hour with nice (free) snacks in the same room at the top. Overall, the hotel is not a luxury hotel but is a very comfortable, gracious hotel with attentive staff. I would stay here again, and I would recommend it to everyone I know.
