Bye Rome

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Great hotel and staff. But totally disconnected from Rome. You will be dependent from the bus ride 5-6 euros two blocks away and the last one return at 11 30 so if you are a late owl factor in 60 euros for a taxi if you are lucky. I should have read the reviews :-(

Very convenient to the airport

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Clean, helpful, close to airport
Location: Very convenient to the airport. Short walk to the port at Fiumincino and several fun seafood take-out and restaurants.
This is a great spot if you want to be close to the airport. Clean, with all the necessities, including wifi. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. It's not a "character" hotel that you would want to visit for its history, views, or design . . .but it is a clean, efficient and pleasant hotel at the airport. It is a short walk to several interesting seafood restaurants in Fiumincino -- try the calamari with lemon like the locals.

Convenient for the aiport

Pros: Peace and quiet inside, nice pool
Cons: The bathroom. Get rid of the bidet - make some usable space.
Location: Fiumicino is a rather scruffy small town beset by dreadful traffic and aircraft noise. The only thing I can recommend nearby is Ostia Antica.
If you have an early departure from Rome's Fiumicino Airport, then the five minute shuttle drive to this hotel makes it worth considering. The shuttle costs $6 per person per trip. It operates on a schedule - but they still want you to call the hotel and book the trip in advance. The hotel is directly beneath the flight path and is close to the end of the runway. The room has effective air conditioning and great modern windows, so noise inside the room is not an issue. There is an outdoor pool where you can float on your back and estimate the tread depth of tires on the passing aircraft. The hotel has a restaurant and a breakfast buffet. We had dinner which was no better than alright. The breakfast was not available early enough for us to eat and catch our flight. Pity. The ensuite bathroom was tiny. If they had not included the bidet it might even have had enough room to be comfortable. As it is, the door did not open all the way, as it hit the sink and the shower stall was hardly big enough for one person.

Hotel close to Fiumicino Airport

Posted May 18, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was included with the price of the room.
Cons: Shuttle service should be free.
Location: This is close to Rome!!!!!
The rooms are clean but very cramped compared to US standards. However the staff was friendly and helpful. Even though the airport is close by, a charge of 6 euros per passenger is charged to and from the airport where one can obtain a train service to Rome. However a taxi fare from the airport to hotel is a set 25 euros.

Close to the airport, and convenient to stay the night before our early flight home. Planes stopped flying before bedtime. Great restaurant for dinner!
