“Excellent location”
The hotel is 1 block from Roma Termini. Great location. I needed to catch a flight out at 9am and was an easy and very safe walk to the Airport Termini at 5:30 am. This hotel is highly commended. Amelia O. San Francisco, CA
“Location ..Good food..Space to Relax”
The great location, the full complimentary breakfast and complimentary computer access help to make the Atlantico a good choice. The restaurant and the roof top bar are also added attractions to the traveler who likes to relax and stay in in the evenings. Several places exist to just sit and relax. The hotel is adjacent to another hotel with an inside walkway and the common facilities are shared by both hotels... a great idea. This was my sixth trip to Rome and I enjoyed this hotel the most. I would stay there again. Being two blocks from Termini and the trains is a major plus...we easily walked!!
“Nice hotel near Termini”
This hotel was only 1 to 2 blocks from train station. Well maintained and staff helpful. There are nearby restaurants and shops as well.
“Impressive Hotel”
We only stayed one night in Rome, but this hotel was great. It was a very short walk from the train/metro station. Our room was very large, especially by European standards. The reception was welcoming and it was nice to have free Internet access. We had to leave too early to try the included breakfast, but we were very happy with the rest of the hotel experience.
“Nice and great location”
My family and I (2 adults and a child) spent two days at this hotel. We used it as our layover place for our trip to Perugia, Florence and Venice and back to Rome for our flight out. The hotel is in a great location. within walking distance to the train/metro station, restaurants and a convenient store. The room was spacious for comfortable. The evening manager, Roberto, was very helpful and nice. The only negative thing is the hotel sound-proof is poor. We could hear things from the street very well even with our windows and drapes closed. Avoid taxis as much as possible in Rome. We were taken for extended tours of the city that we did not ask and want to pay for. If you happen to visit Perugia, try the restaurant La Botte. The foods were superb.
“convenient location, needs updating”
This hotel needs updating. Room was small, as most Rome hotels seem to be, but was also stuffy. A few hours with the windows open helped a lot. There was some schmeg dripping/hanging from the shower head. It was so gross, but I cleaned it myself instead of calling room service. The front desk staff were always very helpful and friendly. This was their saving grace. Location was great. Walking distance from the train station and everything else.
“perfect choice”
The hotel was wonderful. We had balconies overlooking Rome. The desk staff was very helpful with train schedules and tour inf. Full breakfast every morning to get us started. It is conveniently located near the train station so we were able to get anywhere quickly. Because we planned this trip on our own w/o a travel agent or tour guide we really appreciated all the helpful advice from the staff. We will definitely book this hotel on our next trip to Rome.
“EXTREME RUDENESS”
More than everything else is politeness that makes a hotel good or bad. Even a run-down hotel with a friendly and polite staff is more bearable than a hotel with somewhat better installations but unfriendly and rude staff. There were several instances of rudeness throughout our stay, but this was the worst of them all: after we checked out, my wife and I were trying to get our bags through the hotel front door (which does not stay open unless it is held by someone). A uniformed hotel staff was standing on the sidewalk facing the street, his arms crossed behind his back. He heard the struggle of us trying to get through the front door, turned around, looked at us, turned back around and again faced the street, all the time chewing gun. The people at the front desk did not greet us when we came in and out. Once I came to the front desk and asked for a map of Rome. Without a word the guy simply pointed to a table where maps and brochures were kept. I was so annoyed by their rudeness that I made it a point to show them some cordiality. Under the pretext of obtaining information, I went to the reception and greeted the guy with a smile: "Good morning, how are you"? He was so stunned that it took him a while to answer:“not bad”. Breakfast was greasy and always the same. The ladies who serve breakasf are quite nice ( the only exception to the general rudeness). The room decor was blah. The only thing good: the hotel is a couple of blocks from Rome's Termini.
“Great Hotel Close To Termini”
It was very close to Termini train Station, so it was very easy to get there just by walking. The room was clean and had plently of room. Our room did not get a lot of light but it wasnt a big deal because we didnt spend too much time in it. Being close to Termini was nice because we were close to the Metro A and B which gets you around the city pretty fast. Plus walking distance to sites also wasnt very bad.
“Nice, but not as described on website.”
Beautiful location, very tranquil, about a $30 cab ride each way in to City. Wifi not complimentary and not working. Tuscan dinner and all meals prepared in La Veranda restaurant inadequate, meals and service by pool was wonderful, served by friendly staff in a beautiful setting. Front Desk/Concierge not very helpful or knowledgeable and wIne tours were not easy to arrange. Complimentary shuttle service not always available/odd hours and times, but friendly and helpful driver. No wine list and very few wines available at La Veranda restaurant. Breakfast there was very average. Bar in lobby was never open for the 3 days we spent there.
