“A great experience”

The Albergo Mediterraneo as it is now called is a very nice hotel that offers exceptional service. The rooms are large with modern bathrooms although the tub is a little high and may be difficult to access. The continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful. This hotel is located near the Termini (bus, metro, and train station) which does provide easy access to all of the attractions in Rome. However, it is located a little far from central Rome and the area near the station is surrounded by a seedy element. My stay at this hotel was very pleasant as the staff was extremely accommodating. I would recommend this facility for business personnel and families.

“Loved this hotel - staff was wonderful and friendly”

The hotel rooms were big, the bathroom was very nice and spacious. The hotel staff spoke English and were very helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. We walked to all the sites from the hotel including Vatican City. The hotel area was safe. My daughter and I walked around at night and felt totally safe. The only negative is that there was not free internet. There was a computer in the lobby that costed .35 euros per minute but it took a minimum of two minutes to get signed on to the internet.

“Probable among the best in Rome”

Very good hotel and well worth the money which was also reasonable. The service is excellent. The room was very comfortable and the amenties were excellent. Meals great with a fabulous menu. Room Service prompt and well organised. Concierge was a most professional man and very kind. I became unwell and it was no triouble to get me a doctor within the hour and the enquiries about my health went on for a couple of days...this made me feel welcome and cared about. Would recommend this hotel highly to everyone.

“Great central Rome hotel”

Would definately stay here again. 1 block from subway & bus terminal makes this ideal to see all the sights. Hotel was clean, well maintained, efficient professional staff, great breakfast included, strong wifi. Room was cleaned well, a/c is "euro" in that works fine but can't really crank it down if it's hot, not a deal killer though. Bed is larger than 'double' but has a pretty firm matress. In room safe holds iPad. Neighborhood is normal big city type but plenty safe. People everywhere until late evening.

“Really nice hotel”

The hotel is a 5 min walk from Roma Termini. Even with my luggage I had no trouble making the walk. Plenty of retaurants close by. Tons of street vendors selling "knock offs" (purses, sun glasses, watches, etc).

“Great location for seeing Rome on foot or by subway! Very clean! Very helpful staff spkg perfect Eng”

The room was very nice and clean. We were there for several days and the maid service during the stay was "so so" one of the days but the rest were great. Bed and pillows were good by hotel standards. The free wifi was based on a 24 hr period so we had to go down each night and get a new passcode. The computers in the lobby were available for use but did not have a printer (this was bad... they really need to either have a printer there for guests to print or else allow to print to their printer in back for things like boarding passes/tickets, etc). The breakfast spread was very nice and fresh each day and the staff was very quick to replenish it. Would highly recommend the hotel again. I would say the lack of printer capability is their biggest fault. Location is great - super close to main termini (train station) and Colosseum as well. Very central. Don't recommend restaurants around the hotel.

“Good to stay”

The best thing with the hotel was its central location, close to metro and train stations. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not very good as compared to Italian breakfasts. There is a free internet which worked fine in the room. Overall it is one of the best hotels in the neighborhood.

“Great location to Central Termini”

My partner and I stayed at the hotel for a week and we only have one complaint. We specifically chose this hotel for it's wireless internet service. Our wireless service wouldn't connect so we changed rooms to a more central location in the hotel. The computer finally worked, but it was slow and signal kept dropping. If you must have computer service while staying I would suggest requesting a room on the first few floors as close to the front desk as possible. They hotel is just across the street from the central train station and metro station making it very easy to access all the sights by rail. However, I would suggest walking everywhere as that is part of the charm of Rome. If you do ride the trains, be mindful of your purse, wallets and bags.

“Great location. Close to all major sites and shopping”

Hotel was very well kept with great rooms. Bed was a little too hard for my taste, but size of room and bathroom was wonderful, with plenty of storage for clothing and bags. Breakfast room was large with a nice assortment of foods and beverages to get you started for the day. The location was great for coming in from the train station. It was about 1/2 block away from the station. Great views and close to everything we wanted to see.
