“Would love to stay there again”
The hotel was great. Customer service was excellent. Buffet breakfast was very good.
“Great hotel”
Its location is ideal for seeing Rome. A 5 minute walk from the main station and within walking distnce of all the main sites. Although the decor is perhaps not what you might expect in a UK hotel you could not fault much else. On arrival we were greeted with a glass of ice tea and biscotti. The rooms (we were in 309) were immaculate and each has a small fish tank! The bathroom was clean and a good size although the shower was not great. Each night the room was turned down and a sweet out on your pillow with the weather forecast for the next day. Each morning a print out sheet of UK news events was posted under the door. Breakfast was typical continental style buffet.

“Amazingly Friendly staff!”
My brother and I stayed here for a week, and we think it is one of the friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in! The staff are massively helpful and genuinely friendly (not condescending) The hotel is not huge, but it is clean, well decorated and situated in a great shopping area, with easy walking distances to the attractions. The breakfast is superb! We loved our stay at the Britannia, and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a comfortable pleasant stay in Rome. I'm sure there are grander hotels near-by but I am certain they won't have the personal friendly touch of the Britannia!
“Good value hotel”
A great little hotel close to the Termini (bus terminal). Room decor was a little tired but room was extremely clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.
“Very impressed”
The Hotel Britannia is a very comfortable place to stay. The staff are polite and helpful. The rooms are spacious (unusual for Rome), very clean and well maintained. Our room opened out on to a small terrace which would be fab in the summer when the weather is really warm. There is a good selection of hot and cold items for breakfast, bearing in mind that so many different nationalities need to be catered for. The location of the hotel is fine and the area is no problem at all. The area close to Termini station is like any other area around a mainline railway station in a busy city. Not particularly pleasant but the hotel is far enough away from here that you don't have to worry. And you dont have any reason to head back towards Termini station until you are ready to return home. Everything is located in the opposite direction. Rome is not a big city. Everything is easily reached on foot, including the Vatican City (about a 45 minute walk). It's a beautiful place, you can't begin to appreciate the wealth of history and amazing sites in one visit. We will definitely be returning and would have no hesitation in staying at the Hotel Britannia when we do. Highly recommended to others.
“Near Great Sights and Good Food”
My husband and I stayed seven nights at Brittania on a recent trip to Europe. After experiencing much smaller rooms and less accomodating hotels in Edinburgh and London, we were thrilled with the service at Brittania and the size of our room. The bathroom was particularly clean and spacious. When we arrived to Termini, the taxi driver passed us on to a fast-moving gentlemen with a cart who escorted us by foot, and hauled our luggage to the hotel several blocks away. The walk was fine if you don't mind the very quick pace. The breakfast was plentiful and very good. The hotel staff provided a reasonably priced private driver to the airport. They also provided laundry service when we needed clean clothes. The drinks in the private fridge or the lobby are very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Brittania.
“Britannia Hotel - Rome”
A very good little hotel only 5 minutes from the main train station. The room was very nice, we even had a little fish to keep us company. The rooms were kept very clean and tidy, and we had sweets left on our pillows every night.
“Very nice hotel, wonderful location”
After three weeks in Europe going through three countries, we ended up at the Britania at the end of our travels. We showed up quite early, and the staff did everything imagiable to make us welcome, including bringing juice to the front desk while we were checking in, and making cappicino's to order while we waited for our room. The entire staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome our entire stay. Great breakfast, wonderful atmosphere. Close to Termini for easy connections and city travel, but all of the major sites are within walking distance should you desire. We would stay here again should our travels again lead us to Rome.
“beyond our expections”
A real nice place to stay, centrally located on a very quit side street only a 8 minit walk to the train to the airport. great breakfast, professional desk personel on call 24 hours. we are going back to finish our tour of rome and will stay at the hotel britannia again.
