Definitely not 3 star, may be 2 star at the max

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Not a lot
Cons: Internet, and breakfast to begin with.
Location: Nothing to do around. The only good thing was that there was a grocery store close by. It was called "sma" market. We bought water and lunch there.
Horrible experience 1. Free breakfast sucks, no egg, no meat, just plain toast, jelly, little cheese, some slices of ham and coffee 2. The room is tiny, the restroom leaks, the location looks like a getto place. It is not in a walking distance from anywhere. Although it looks like a walking distance from colluseum, it is not. Don't stay at this hotel. Not worth it. Oh almost forgot to mention about the internet. The free wireless did not work at all through out my stay (4 days)

Nice clean hotel. Very friendly staff

Posted Jul 6, 2014
The hotel was located very close to Roma Termini less than 10 minutes walk. If you prefer to walk almost all the main attractions were walking distance which was brilliant. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and always willing to assist you in any way possible. The only downside was the breakfast buffet which didn't have much selection, but apart from that a great hotel!

Cons: Bigger lift
Hotel canova is a decent budget hotel the room was a little small but adequate, breakfast was served on a rooftop terrace which was very nice, the staff were very helpful with our many questions, good location walkable to many attractions.

Charming hotel in central Rome

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Canova. For the price, we were expecting a simple room. Though not extravagant, the room was charming, comfortable and very clean. Staff was exceptional, particularly the young lady at the front desk who helped us with lost luggage, taxis, restaurants, etc. Fresh breakfast served on the roof terrace was a great start on the day, and we enjoyed bringing our wine on the terrace in the evenings. Would definitely stay here again. Grazia Hotel Canova!

Canova, locally situated and very friendly

Posted Jun 5, 2014
Pros: The clean room and roomy bathroom.
Cons: The internet connection.
Location: There was a chinese restaurant. The chinese restaurant was pretty good and a godsend, because by the end of our trip we were getting tired of italian
I enjoyed my stay at the Canova Hotel. It was centrally located which allowed my family to easily walk around to all the sites and monuments. It is slightly off the road in a smaller alley but not in a very dimly lit, film noir kind of way. Though it seems that Romans are not in the habit of cleaning up after their dogs so we had to walk through several unpleasant dog leavings on the street to our hotel. The room itself was comfortable and and clean and bathroom is roomy. Their breakfast selections were nice too. There is also a lot of cafes and restaurants nearby to enjoy a nice dinner before we head to our room. The elevator is kind of small, so we had to take two trips when we took our luggage up, which can be a hassle. The internet, although free, doesn't reach up to the rooms. We were able to book a private shuttle with the hotel to take us to the airport, which was nice. The driver got us there on time and was very polite.
