Just a short walk!Posted Oct 1, 2014
Hotel was great only a 10 min walk from the Vatican. Nice shops and restaurants in the surrounding area.

Pros: Room size is great so with the dining area.
Cons: Scrambled egg for breakfast is very salty. Wi fi should be available in the room.
Location: Close to Mc Donald's and bus stops.
This hotel is modern and clean compared to the hotels we've been in Florence and Venice. It is very quiet. The receptionist are very helpful and accommodating .

Slightly Off the Beaten PathPosted Aug 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
Although the Cardinal Hotel is close enough to walk to the Vatican it is a rather long walk and considering you will be walking to explore the sights in Rome this extra distance could be exhausting if you are also walking with children. I would suggest that tickets for the bus should be available from the hotel lobby. It was not easy to obtain bus tickets from the local vendors. We had to try three or four different places before we were able to obtain tickets.

Modern looking hotel, Only had a piazza in the hotels restaurant and it was THE worst pizza I have ever eaten, was oven pizza machine made. Location was miles out about €14 in a taxi. Pool was almost frozen over. Staff were friendly.

Unfortunate breakfastPosted Jun 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very poor breakfast... the food does not look fresh, the salami is very tattered and coffee tasted burned, bread was hard (many days old?)... and orange juice was syrup (unexpected of a 4star hotel)....... But of course the room is in good and comfortable condition, except for the aircon which is freezing, apparently the aircon thermostate is not working.

Fine for one night.Posted Jun 4, 2014
Cons: Access from the suggested Metro stop was way more than a "15 minute walk" especially with luggage- we were lucky to catch a cab.
Location: Nice part of Rome near the Vatican.
The hotel was pleasing to enter and the staff was great and responsive. The linen quality was marginal and one pillow per bed is not sufficient. The wi-fi access was cumbersome and clumsy requiring a password for each device. Our TV was not plugged in and working when we arrived and I had trouble finding the cable connection. The makeup mirror was loose and would not hold an angle so you could see your face. Little things, easily remedied but for one night, they added up to a lot.

Very good hotelPosted Apr 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
We went for a romantic getaway, and it was very nice. Negatives are that the swimming pool isn't open until summer, positives are that the breakfast is lovely. We ended up forgetting a passport, and they contacted us immediately to say that it was safe :)

It was great. The only problem was that the bathtubs didn't have shower curtains and so it caused a mess every time I took a shower
