Central, convenient but........Posted Apr 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
I have been going to Rome for longer than 8 years, multiple visits per year. I have heard of Casa Howard for many years but being used to 5 stars, minimal 4 stars hotels I was not willing to give up the uxury. This past weekend I decided to stay in "town" for 2 nights while Rome was preoccupied with the canonization at The Vatican. I was politely greeted and the "guesthouse" is very convenient located, very clean, and I know the area very well. Very quint and "neat", in a very "modernized Roman" kind of way. Unfortunately I I did not realize when I booked my room I overlooked the fact that my room was not "en-suite". It was the biggest corner room, roomier than the rest I have seen in that location, they are all very charmingly individually appointed, and the Filipino help are lovely. Even though Casa Howard provides kimonos and slippers, I had to be in my bed-clothes running into other guests, in the hallway and around the internet point, I felt like I was in a nice university dorm. I wasted a lot of time going back and forth the hallway tip-toeing at night to use the bathroom and wifi because that weekend end, or maybe always the guests were quiet in their rooms by 10/10:30pm, early-sleepers. I would like to try their other location "en-suite" just to see the difference. Stay tune!!!

Pink roomPosted Aug 13, 2011 on Hotels.com
We stayed in the pink room - nice room with en-suite bathroom & good powerful shower. Good location. Would be better to have individual fridges in the rooms rather than the honesty bar in the hallway. Run by a very strange lady who took an instant dislike to us for absolutely no reason - other than that we had a good stay. Rome is great!
