Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Mattresses
Location: Central
The hotel is in a great location and easy to walk to most attractions. Breakfast is good. Staff very helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom are good. The only thing we didn't like was the covers on the mattresses were noisy every time you turned over.

Okay location. Poor room conditions

Location was okay and within walking distance to the Vatican. Room was in poor condition. Dated comforter on the bed, A/C that did not work and ripped aging carpet. Bathroom was in a better condition than the actual room. Morning breakfast which was provided with the room was good.

Pros: Helpful English-language service at the front desk, and from bell staff. Great breakfast included in room rate.
Cons: Dull lighting in rooms, soft goods could use to be replaced.
Location: Nice location. Easy walk to Vatican, Piazza Navona.
Friendly English-language service at check in and throughout, good location, clean, excellent variety in the included breakfast. Nice lobby bar with friendly service. Convenient to restaurants, shopping, easy walk to the Vatican. Rooms are a good size, bathrooms well-appointed, including tub/shower. Rooms are a bit worn, and could use an update. No iron/ironing board.

Other than temperature control in room, this was one of the better hotels, free breakfast, and values. Only suggestion would be free wi fi..$12/day is excessive

Great location!

The Ciccerone is in a great location near many sights in Rome. The staff were very helpful. The included continental breakfast was cheap... One small roll and one drink....either coffee or juice. Internet was 9 euro per day! It should have been free. The lobby was lovely. Our room was clean, but well used....needed a remodel.

Great location...needs renovation

We stayed at this hotel in 2004, it was perfect. Location is awesome, walk to many of the typical and not so typical spots. This year, we were put in a room that may not have been renovated since opening??? Very old and run down. Lobby is perfect, bar is great, but the room we had was aweful.....additional comment, we requested a one bed room, we arrived and one was not available, but they said it would be in about an hour or so. We went to lunch, came back and got our room, well it had 3 twin beds, 2 pushed together, but still with individual twin sheets on each.

Pros: It's location and the wonderful hotel staff and concierge desk.
Cons: Not fancy but certainly very affordable
Location: Great neighborhood for walking and close to Vatican and St. Peter's.
Loved this hotel and it's location - close to the Vatican and St.Peter's Square. Have stayed here before and would definitely return. Enjoyed the neighborhood and walking around felt comfortable and safe. Hotel staff was superb - particularly the ladies at the concierge desk. They were extremely helpful and responsive to all our needs. Rooms are comfortable and certainly worth the price in comparison to other hotels in Rome.
