Pros: on the internet
Cons: I guess advertise there are no elevators since this is an old hotel
The hotel was very nice and clean. The major set back was there was no elevator/lift. You have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the lobby. then several more flights of stairs depending on what floor your room was on, up to 4 floors. The hotel itself is very clean and in a great area with shops and restaurants close by. They do have someone to help assist with the luggage. The staff was very friendly and helped get us get a shuttle to the airport. The breakfast is an extra 6.50 euros but it was very good. So if you don't mind stairs, I would recommend this hotel.

Great value for moneyPosted Jul 24, 2014
A cheerful, clean place to stay. The location is close to the Vatican and a 25 min walk to other key attractions. The hotel itself is in an authentic older style building. The bathrooms are new, there is air conditioning and the rooms were clean and colourful. The hotel staff were always happy to help and recommended some great restaurants nearby!

Awesome service, great locationPosted Jul 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
Spent a couple of nights here as part of our honeymoon trip to Europe and the staff has surprisingly upgraded us to a superior room and had welcome drinks on arrival. They certainly go an extra mile to provide great service including giving tips on things to do in Rome. On top of that the location is also a bonus. Highly recommended!

Low price and nice hotel close to Vatican cityPosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Web search.
Cons: An elevator would be nice, but it can be costly.
Location: Visit Vatican city, Coliseum, Roman Forum, Rome downtown. Most of places are easily accessible from Colors Hotel.
Colors hotel was reasonably priced. Very clean. Excellent staff support. Answered all of my questions related to my first trip to Italy so excellently (both over the phone and email). Very nice breakfast with reasonable price. It is located so conveniently. Walking distance to Vatican city, easy access to other historical places, i.e., Coliseum, Roman Forum, etc. The only small difficulty was stair cases since there was not an elevator.

Great place except for one problemPosted Jun 6, 2014
Great location, staff, breakfast and also it was very clean. However the mattresses in our triple room were dreadful. They were sunken in the middle and had no support. With a personal history of back issues, I would likely not return unless the beds improved.

Cheerful hotel near the VaticanPosted May 31, 2014
We had one night in Rome and Colors was a great place to spend it. Our room had an ensuite bathroom and generous shower. Bed was comfy, good blankets and pillows. Short, easy walk to dinner in the Centro Storico and St. Peter's basilica in the morning. Decent breakfast too, not gourmet but plenty of options and good coffee.

Decent place to stayPosted May 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is located in a nice area and very close to the Vatican. Rooms are clean and functional. Staff is friendly and breakfast was good. Mattresses could be a little more comfortable.
