Comfortable Room

Posted Dec 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
Hotel room was comfortable and cosy. It was quite decent for 2 of us. However, the location of the hotel needs a bit of finding. We had problems searching for the location when we get to Termini station and at night. Quite a far walk to the station too. Overall, if you don't mind the distance, it is quite a good B&B.

Cromata Rooms - great rooms!

Posted Nov 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
The room itself was lovely; very clean, well maintained and with an en suite bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Our only problem initially was in finding the cafe which you are given breakfast vouchers for - the vouchers say `La Arancio' but the cafe is now called `Feel Good'. The area next to the train station is a little dirty and run down, but is a really short walk to the Vittorio Emanuele metro station, and not far from the Colloseum. I would definitely consider staying here again

A bed and breakfast

Posted Oct 22, 2012 on Hotels.com
We had a little difficulty finding the place as it is in an apartment building with just the name on the buzzer. But once we got in, it was a pleasant surprise. The place is small - 3 rooms, each with own bathroom, shared kitchen/dining room. We had 2 of the 3 rooms. We never saw the other tenant. The place was very clean and comfortable overall. Location was ok. We had hoped to be closer to the main entrance of the train station. With luggage, construction on the street, and traveling with elderly people, we ended up taking a 5 min cab ride.

Pros: The service, the room and the location.
Location: Centrally located to the Termini which was perfect for us.
We organised our one night stay at very short notice. We didn't expect much, however we were extremely surprised when we arrived. The location was great. the room was lovely and the service was warm and friendly.

Nice Condo and room.

Posted Aug 2, 2012
Pros: Being able to come and go as I pleased and not having to leave my keys and wait to be rung in.
Cons: The musty smell during the rainy times.
Location: Very near to Termini Station
It was very nice and very clean. It rained and it made the room smell musty but you can't do anything about the weather and the smell wasn't overwhelming at all just something that happens with brick. I could've opened the window but I wanted the air-conditioning on.

Cromata in Rome... Great affordable room

Posted May 4, 2011 on Hotels.com
Just a couple of bullet points... The pictures are great. What you see is what you get. Just in different colors. Our room was orange. But with all the same decor. The room is maybe a bit small. But seriously. Who stays in their room in Rome? It is a room to sleep in. Not a room to meet with the family. You have access to a shared kitchen. And you have a fridge in the room. So you don't have to eat out every single night. Also, the room is on the 3rd floor of a building. But there is an elevator, so that works well. The location is convenient to the main train station and to the metro train station (a 5-10 minute walk). Also, the breakfast included with the room is at a nearby bar/cafe which is halfway to the metro station. So that makes the walk easy enough. However, with an older person or someone with walking difficulties, it is a bit far. The bad thing about the location is that it is smack in the middle of what seems to be foreigners town. That is, you don't feel like you're in Italy because there are so many Chinese, Africans, Indians, and Arabs around. It's fine. And it is safe. You just don't feel the ambience of being in Rome. I'd take a taxi to the place the very first time just so you don't get lost. The staff at the hotel was very helpful! They're there when you need them, and they're always available by phone.
