Great hotel, central location

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Hotel was easy to find and very central. A ten minute walk to the Colossium and thirty minute walk to the Vatican. We stayed in the Audrey Hepburn suite which was lovely. Lounge/kitchen area, hallway, bathroom and bedroom. On arrival we were booked in by a young gentlemen on reception, he was fantastic. Talked us through Rome and gave us a map with directions to different locations. On our final stay the receptionist also booked us a taxi and looked after our bags whilst we had a final exploration of the wonderful city. Thank you Dolce Vita for making our stay in Rome a special one. Can't recommend enough.

Great apartment in the heart of Old Rome

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Location, casual vibe, attentiveness of staff...
Location: We only needed taxis to save time, as everything worth seeing is quite accessible from this hotel. Wonderful strolls in all directions...
We loved this place! The room was a suite with kitchen, perfect for our family of four. The staff was extremely helpful with everything from train tickets to laundry to taxis to restaurant suggestions. The coffee machine saved us a fortune in cappuccino! The location was fantastic. A couple of minutes stroll to everything from the Trevi Fountain to the Forum. Strong thumbs up!

VERY NICE HOTEL CLOSE TO EVERYTHING

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: SIZE AND LAYOUT
Cons: THE WIFI IN THE ROOM WAS TERRIBLE
Location: HOTEL IS LOCATED WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO MOST MAJOR ATTRACTIONS IN ROME
THE APARTMENT WE RENTED WAS PERFECT FOR MY FAMILY OF FIVE WHICH FACILITATED ONLY HAVING TO RENT ONE ROOM AS OPPOSED TO TWO. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND ROOMY AND VERY MODERN

Unique Hotel

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Although located down a back alley it is within walking distance to most major sights, 5 minutes to the Trevi fountain, 10 minutes to the colosseum and 25 minutes to the Vatican. Close to shopping and restaurants. I stayed with my daughter in a double studio on the 3rd floor. It had kitchen equipment and a washing machine and also had it's own private terrace although no view to speak of at all. Quiet, clean and air conditioned I would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable and Convenient

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location. Also comfortable and well-maintained. Great helpful staff.
Location: Don't miss out on the views from the top of the Emmanuel monument. Want to put in a plug for Taverna Lucifero, off the Campo Fiori, xcellent dinner!
This is a great place to stay if you want a comfortable apartment-style place with a refrigerator and kitchen. Our place was spacious and the staff very helpful. It's centrally located with easy access to a lot of the monuments and museums, etc. It's across the piazza from the Victor Emmanuel monument and the Capitoline Museums and a short walk to the Colosseum. Trevi Fountain very close if you cut through the alley. If you like to walk, the Vatican is about 30 min walk or you can catch a bus to the Vatican right in front. Make good use of the coffee shop downstairs. Ask for a "cafe" and get a great espresso for 1 Euro at the counter, also good cornetti (baguettes). For a deli with good, cheap pizza and sandwiches check out the Forno Antico just off the Trevi fountain. Also, if you're into fountain pens, a very nice pen store called Novelli is three blocks away. The bigger point is that Dolce Vita is great for an experience in the middle of city. A couple of things to consider. It took us a few tries to get the wi-fi up and running. Just keep trying. Also, if noise bothers you, forget it! There is activity in the Piazza Venezia in the middle of the night. Now that we're back in a quiet suburb, we miss the noisy city. But not as much as we miss all the marble statues, architecture and great art!

Nice hotel in the central area of Rome.

Posted Jun 6, 2014
Pros: Location, room facilities, friendly staff.
Nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Perfectly located in the heart of Rome making walking around very easy, all major attractions are within walking distance. A downside to our stay was the noise during the night - people walking around the hotel and noise coming from outside the street as well.

Great Base for Rome

Posted May 24, 2014
This is an excellent place to stay on your trip to Rome. It's right in the middle, 5 minutes from the colosseum, 5 minutes to the Trevi fountain and just slightly longer to the Spanish steps. Staff here were excellent from check in to departure. They provided a great map and circled all the points of interest for us and advised us of the nearest shop to buy Metro tickets which was on our street. We stayed in an executive double room (Audrey Hepburn room), it was well decorated, modern and clean with it being tidied and fresh towels put in everyday. Kitchen facilities including free tea and coffee, hob and fridge and then a clean bathroom with hairdryer. There was also a safe in the wardrobe that we used and gave us great piece of mind. I am hoping to go back to Rome and I would 100% pick the Dolce Vita Residence as my hotel it's the perfect place to stay.
