Filthy hotel and rude staffPosted Feb 14, 2014
I have never stayed in a such a filthy hotel in Italy. Unusual for Italy, where even small guest houses are immaculate, this hotel was disgusting. Dirty toilet seat, filthy shower and bathing, rude staff. Refused to provide a cap of hot water to make tea! Don't go there!

The hotel is excellent in location but if you have slightly more money to spend I would not suggest this place for accommodation. The staff hardly speaks English except for 1 or 2 of them. The bathroom is not the cleanest as the cubicle is sort of old and run down. The sensor of the lighting in the bathroom goes off when I am in the shower and the worst of all, we are required to pay ADDITIONAL tax fares despite Expedia claimed on its booking form that tax are included in the payment.

Nice hotel for a good pricePosted Dec 9, 2013
Pros: Location, room
Cons: The staff is helpful, but they don't speak any English. Cold in the night. Poor breakfast.
If you have a low budget, this hotel is a perfect choice. The location is great, near Termini station. My room was clean and comfortable, bathroom also. A litlle bit cold for December and noisy in the lobby. Do not expect nice breakfast. Perfect for a 1 night sleep.

An acceptable budget option near Termini stationPosted Nov 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel prices near Rome's main train station (Termini) seem to have doubled or tripled in the last couple of years, and many of those hotels are no longer good budget options. In this situation, Domus Mea represents an acceptable budget accommodation not far from the station. It is about 10 minutes walk from the station, in a quiet side street, on the fifth floor of an apartment building. The hotel itself is rather bare bones, the room in which I stayed had old furniture, and was rather small but adequate. The bathroom was shared, but it was spotlessly clean, with a strong current of hot water. Breakfast (which I skipped) is served in a nice dining room. The reception seems to be open 24 hours, which is a great advantage compared to similar establishments. Highly recommended for budget travelers.

Good quality and value near Termini StationPosted Oct 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
Domus Mea was a nice little hotel within a 15 minute walk from Termini Station. My wife and I were staying close because we had an early train to catch the next morning so we can't vouch for the breakfast. Our room was clean with a private bathroom and a nice little balcony where two people could sit comfortably. The receptionists were very friendly, although we were a bit surprised to find out that they didn't speak any English! This made for a very comical check-in experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay and would return if we find ourselves in Rome again.

Good for an overnight. It's on the 5th floorPosted Oct 10, 2013
Small 5th floor hotel close to the main train station. Owner operated with basic facilities. Offers breakfast that is limited to rolls, jelly and butter that is good but no cheese or meat. For Rome it is a pretty good deal at 80 euro.

Convenient and near Roma terminiPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff
Location: Nar the main transport hub which is all I needed it to be as was passing through Roma. Plenty of bars, pizza places etc
For my purposes this room was fine. Very basic room, shower was a little weak. Noisy at night but that's Roma for you.

Good for short stay in Rome.Posted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: Cheap and convenient to the train station.
Cons: They would give me a key to the room or the front door.
Perfectly filled the 1 night stay I needed between my flight and my train.
