Some initial quirks, but a Great place to stayPosted Apr 7, 2014
When we arrived for check in, there was a sheet of paper with a few phone numbers you are to call in order for someone to come check you in. We tried all four numbers that were on this sheet and finally got through to someone who didn't speak too much or understand too much english. He tried to explain that someone would be at our location in 5 minutes to come open the door for us...it took more than 10 minutes! But once we were let into the building, we were told by the guy who let us in to speak with someone on the phone named Peter. Peter spoke English quite well and informed us that he made a mistake on our reservation and said he thought our reservation was for a check in on a different date (the next day). I informed Peter that I had booked this reservation through Expedia a few weeks back and so the mistake was not on my part. Peter was kind enough to acknowledge his mistake and went about looking for alternate accomodations for that night that was close by and asked if we can check in the following day. He would only charge us for 3 nights and pay for the alternate accomodations for that evening. Peter found us a room at a nice upscale hotel for the night, which was only a short block away. After this all my worries went away and I could relax. The next day we got to Domus Pinciana bright and early at 7am and was met by a woman who gave us our keys and asked us to leave our luggage and she would put it in our room. The room was great! Best sleep I had all trip!

Staff very corteousPosted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: the staff - very kind and courteous
Cons: breakfast facilities and someone during the evening
Location: location is good - 10 minutes from villa borghese
the location of the hotel is fine is you plan to visit the historic part of the city but I have to say that the hotel as little to desire apart from the wonderful staff (Daniela). Apart from the fact that there is no one during the evening and night, so do not expect none in reception, the breakfast facilities are very limited. You get your breakfast in your bedroom but there are no choices of what you would like and it actually need of a dining area for the customers and it is very noisy early morning...

Good area to stay in RomePosted Jun 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Close to my favourite place bill Borghese. I was able to walk to all the major attractions. But got a cab back. Located in a great neighbourhood. More Italian restaurants than I could eat at.

Good value B & BPosted Nov 7, 2011
Location: Not near the Termini
It was definitely a good find as the area is quieter than around the centre but you can hop on a 52 bus and be at Barberini or Piazza Spania in know time. Also one to the Termini. The info on Expedia was incorrect and we informed the people at the B/B. It said they had a restaurant and bar- incorrect. We didnt think there was, as on tripadvisor breakfast was served on a tray to your room.It is made in reception outside the 5 rooms, all on ground floor. Our room 3 is at the back, so quieter. There are only a few downsides. The curtains are not lined and the offices across the courtyard outside the window, leave their lights on all night, So take an eye mask. The bed is large and comfortable, but instead of a bedside table on the left, I had a tall cupboard which had a fold-up bed in it. This bed isnt used in this room as it isnt big enough. It disappeared into one of the other bedrooms for use during our stay. I think it is unfair that it is kept in this room and not in the room it is for. Breakfast on their leaflet shows boiled eggs which we never had! What we did have was very nice though, although no tea only coffee. The staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful, although it helped that I speak italian, as only the manager spoke english. He was extremely helpful and checked us in to our flight and printed out the boarding cards. Also called a taxi. On the whole a very good stay and I would recommend this B/B for a reasonably priced room in a very expensive city.

Domus Pinciana, Rome. A perfect basePosted Oct 26, 2011 on Hotels.com
We walked from the train station to Domus Pinciana which took around 25mins. The greeting was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. After an excellent nights sleep helped by the quality of bed and quiet location the continental breakfast bought to the room was fresh and appreciated. As a base for those who wish to explore the city by foot, we would highly recommend Domus Pinciana and would stay there again on our next visit to Rome.
