“All hotel staff very friendly and helpful”
Very quiet and pleasant hotel. The hotel shutle was very handy. However, the no52 bus runs near by and is worth having a 3 day pass. Breakfast was very good.
“tout est parfait”
Un hotel très confortable mais un peu loin du centre de Rome
“Hotel Worth Checking Out”
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, service was impeccable. Our room was spacious and clean. The marble bathroom was stocked with high quality toiletry, robes and slippers. After a long day of sightseeing, our hotel was inviting and peaceful. The staff were always friendly and professional. The only negative thing about this hotel is that it is not in the center of the city.
“Spectacular Hotel”
I can't say enough good things about the Duke Hotel. Not only was the hotel lovely, the employees were all very professional and extremely kind and helpful. We left 2 very important items at the hotel and they kindly kept them for us until we could return and retrieve them. The location is great if you are driving into the city and it is also a nice, residential part of town. Besides the free shuttle, there is the city bus and a regional train nearby. I would most definitely stay here again.
“Formidable”
Un coin de paradis dans une Rome chaotique.
“The Duke Hotel far exceeded our expectations from beginning to end, absolutely fantastic”
We found the staff friendly, polite and accomodating to the English speaking traveller. The rooms were spacious, very clean, quiet and comfortable, with an array of utilities that were unexpected. The service we received was top class and made our time in Rome even more pleasant. We would certainly stay here again and will be promoting it as the place to stay to our friends and family.
“Very nice hotel”
The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful in meeting all our needs. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and has a shuttle to take you within walking distance of several sites to visit. I wish they had service to the Vatican. However there is the city train station within walking distance and you can get to the metro system easily.
“Wonderful Stay”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Duke Hotel while vacationing in Italy this July. We booked two connecting rooms for a four-night stay, and found the accomodations perfect for our family of four. The rooms were well-appointed, spotlessly clean, comfortable and very quiet (a rarity in Rome). We found the staff to be warm, friendly, and very accomodating. The breakfasts were among the best we experienced in Italy. The hotel is located in an affluent residential area of the city about a half-hour (pleasant) walk from the Piazza Del Popolo. A taxi ride to the center of the city is quick and inexpensive. Also, the hotel operates a complimentary shuttle van with frequent service to/from the Spanish Steps area - very convenient. When in Rome, we would return to the Duke Hotel.
“If you want pampering....”
I loved this hotel- Staff extremely hospitable - some communication issuses however staff bent over backwards to please. Extremely satisfied with hotel. However it is a considerable distance from everything. Nothing in walking distance, must take cabs. Hotel offers shuttle that makes it a little more convenient but if you want to have a nightlife you need to return on cab. Tour buses were unable to get to our hotels because of narrow streets, needed to walk up about 150 yards up a hill.
“We liked the Duke Hotel”
We were very happy with the Duke Hotel. Our room was very clean and beautifully appointed; the service was very good. A sumptuous breakfast was included. The hotel is in a nice residential neighborhood, and there was a shuttle service to a central Rome location--which makes up for it not being in the middle of tourist attractions. I would definitely stay there again.
