Fantastic HotelPosted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Breakfast in the courtyard Rooftop restaurant - excellent Very clean, well equipped Staff were very helpful
Cons: I cannot think of anything that would have improved our stay.
Location: Circus Maximus on the door step and the Colosseum just round the corner! Right next to the river Tiber, with lots of places to eat and drink
We had a three night stay at the Fortyseven Hotel in August 2014. What a fabulous hotel. It is perfectly located, within walking distance of all the major sights. On arrival it was obvious that the staff were there to make our stay as comfortable as possible. No fuss when booking in and lots of helpful advice and we were given a useful map. The room was excellent with air conditioning, stocked mini bar (payable locally), T.V, hairdryer, dressing gowns & slippers. Laundry service was available for a small charge. The breakfast was plenty and it was very relaxing as we chose to sit outside in the courtyard. The Circus restaurant on the rooftop was a great place to have a drink and meal. The views were wonderful and staff were again very helpful and curteous.

Beautiful hotel great location locationalPosted Aug 23, 2014
Hotel is lovely and is within great walking distance to all you need from Rome. The staff are great and happy to help with anything. The only thing that didn't impress was the breakfast. What there was didn't taste of anything and the hot selection was poor.

Great boutique hotel right by the ForumPosted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Don't be afraid to ask them for advice. The room was spacious, minimalist yet stylish, and spotless.
The hotel is right by the ancient Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. It's also just a few minutes' walk from the Colosseum. The famous 'Mouth of Truth' featured in the film Roman Holiday is in the portico of a church just yards down the street. Central attractions such as the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon are a bit further away — around 15 minutes at a stroll. It's easy to overlook the Trastevere district, where you'll find some of the most authentic local restaurants and bars. That's across the River Tiber but, again, close to the hotel. At first, I felt that the hotel might be a little out of the central area, but I was very pleased with the location once I got my bearings.

Romantic RomePosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: The location and the rooftop bar .nice quiet ambience.
Cons: Coffee in all rooms, would prefer it to the free toiletries which I never use.
Location: Superb location close to Travestre which is nice in the evening . 15mins to Colosseum ,45mins to Vatican .buses close by if you don't like walking.
Stayed for 3 nights to celebrate our silver wedding . Nice ,classy boutique hotel. Stayed in a classic room -pros large comfy bed, efficient air -con,bathrobes and slippers quiet at night. Cons - no view ,no coffee! Best thing about the hotel - rooftop bar ,superb location. Breakfast nice but not outstanding. Inconsistent approach from the management regarding celebrations ,no acknowledgement of our silver wedding despite before stay e mail ,our own cards champagne and chocolate in room.

PERECT LOCATIONPosted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Location was great, clean & staff were very friendly.
Location: Palatine, Forum & Colosseum are a must. Go to Palatine/Forum first as no queue and your ticket also gets you in to Colosseum without having to queue.
Hotel is perfect in everyday! Fantastic location being just a 10 minute picturesque walk to Rome centre, 15 min walk to Colosseum, Palatine & Forum and 15 mins to the Pantheon. Also the number 81 stops outside hotel and will take you to the Vatican and very near to Castel sant d'Angelo. Room is lovely with great views if you request front of hotel. No noise at night even though you are on a main road due to the electronic shutters that come half way down at night. Hotel is very clean in ALL areas! Breakfast was good with lots of options. Staff at the hotel were fantastic and VERY helpful. We were met by Alina (I think that was her name) who gave us a very warm welcome and gave us a map of Rome and key sights you may want to see. She was also very knowledgable and all of the staff were always happy to help. Due to us arriving early our room wasn't ready so our bags were locked away in a secure room and we went of wandering. On our return our bags were waiting in our room for us. Communication from hotel was excellent and we were given a complimentary room upgrade due to it being a surprise trip for hubbys bday! Recommend room 408! I would highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay there again!!!

Excellent locationPosted Aug 9, 2014
Cons: The housekeeping staff need to be trained better on what not to put in a bidet! Maybe to NOT touch personal items left in bathroom.
Location: Coliseum, really everything is within walking distance. Lots of resturants, shopping
This hotel is in a great location for walking to most of the sites. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and very spacious. One main issue we had was the limited amount of plugs in the room in order to recharge our electronics and the fact that the only time we could charge anything was when we were in the room with all the lights on so no charging over night and don’t think about leaving a key in the lights when you’re out during the day as the maids take the key. The other issue we had was the fact that they put our make-up kit in the bidet, YUCK!!!! For that reason alone I would probably NOT recommend this hotel. I went down and told the front staff and although they apologized it was a bit too late made me wonder what else they did with my toiletries that I left in the bathroom? For this reason alone I would not rank this hotel higher.
