Domenico was fantastic-willing to help with whatever was needed. Breakfast in the cafe down the street was wonderful! The best breakfSt we had in our 2 week trip of Europe.

Historic experience, perfect locationPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Very much a uniquely Roman experience in the middle of the sites/culture/dining and Piazza activity. Personal attention from the manager, Domenico
Cons: Arrival can be a little disconcerting in that occasionally the front door buzzer took some time to answer. Make sure to notify of arrival time.
Location: Everything is close except some of the ancient sites on the edge of town. The vatican museum entrance also might require a taxi.
I cannot comment on the general rooms in the main building as we had a 2 br apartment located about 100 feet away off the main street. The building has a huge history as a papal residence. We had 3 keys to get into a series of courtyard gates and our apartment door that looked like something from a castle. There were 6 set of stairs to our entry. The unit included decorative touches that made it feel like an escape right out of a 1950s Roman Holiday movie. There was a full kitchen and bathroom with good shower. We could walk easily to Piazza Navona, Campi de Flor, St. Peter's, the Tiber, Pantheon, and just a bit further walk to Spanish stairs, Trevi ftn, Colosseum/Forum. Key buses run right in front. There was an ATM and taxi stand close. A great pizza bar served 1.60Euro/4 slice unique pizza very close. A grocery store for stocking the kitchen was about 4 blocks away. Our stay included free breakfast at a great restaurant a block away (not all stays include this so clarify). Domenico manages this property with extreme care and detail. He is a great resource on Rome as well. Don't expect a standard hotel experience. You stand on the street, ring a buzzer to be buzzed in and again inside. It is more of an apartment experience in that there isn't a constant presence or facility amenities. Domenico is available via email/phone however and it was really something unusual we are glad we did. We stayed 2 nts here to do city center and then out to Waldorf 3 days.

Great locationPosted Jun 29, 2014
The hotel is very well located. It's at a walking distance to everything. We felt very welcomed and Domenico helped us right from the beginning with anything we needed (taxis, recommendations). The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The room sizes are comfortable. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

The perfect location, excellent all round.Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Great location, rooms are ideal. Air conditioning is fantastic, the best thing is the manager Dominico. Extremely helpful and knowledgable.
Cons: I'm sure there is something, but I don't know what it is.
Location: Ideal location. Walking distance to more or less every main attraction. A great square directly opposite full of restaurants, shops and a daily market
My wife and I recently stayed here and as most tourists do, tried to find fault but couldn't. The location is great, from here you can walk to any attraction, 2 minutes from piazza novona, 20 from the Vatican, 10 from the pantheon etc directly across the road is the DaVinci museum of machines, which is well worth a visit. Before we arrived the manager, Dominico asked us to confirm our eta and offered us a taxi service from the airport, which if you are travelling with Ryan air seriously consider this as the transfers aren't great. Upon arrival we were greeted and made to feel very welcome. The building itself is fantastic large imposing doors lead into a vestibule with impressive architecture and painted ceiling. It also has an old style iron caged wooden lift which I personally loved. Within 10 minutes we knew everything we needed to know. Take advantage of dominicos hospitality and knowledge, we found everything with ease and he recommended a fantastic restaurant just across the way in very nice square, which has lots and nice places and is a cheaper and less touristy that the main piazza navona which is only 2 minutes walk behind the hotel. You are literally surrounded by 100 restaurants, shops, entertainment. Breakfast is included at a nice cafe 100m up the road, and again can't really fault it. The rooms are ideal for a base, small, comfy bed, tv, mini fridge, safe, air con. If I went back to Rome, I would go back here to stay without hesitation.

Different type of hotelPosted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: See above.
Location: Excellent. On a major street, and close to the Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori, and reasonable walking distance to the Vatican and the Pantheon.
The Four Rivers Suites is different from a typical hotel. It is basically a series of converted apartments. There is no sign outside to identify that you are in the right location. However, after that initial surprise, the rest is delightful. The location is excellent, since it is between the Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori, and very close to a taxi stand. The owner/manager, Dominico, goes out of his way to make sure everything is good for the guests. The rooms are spacious by Rome standards, and the beds comfortable. While I was initially disappointed that the free breakfast was not on sight, but a few doors away, once we ate there we were very pleased. We had a much better selection for breakfast which actually included eggs & bacon and fresh fruit. That was a treat, since for the previous two weeks in all parts of Italy, breakfast typically consisted of some pastries, ham and cheese, yogurt and cold cereal. I would definitely recommend this "hotel" to others.

The perfect location with an excellent concierge!Posted Jun 6, 2014
Pros: The location is perfect, the decor is beautiful, and Domenico is wonderful.
Location: It is around the corner from Piazza Nevona, the Pantheon, and Campo de Fiori, and within walking distance or a short bus ride to the other highlights.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Rome. From the moment we arrived, Domenico welcomed us with great warmth and hospitality. He provided excellent suggestions for things to do and see and places to eat. The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable. We look forward to staying at Four Rivers Suites again and highly recommend it.

Home in RomePosted May 17, 2014
Pros: I slept quietly in a great bed and had a wonderful bathroom.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Location: Campo de Fiori, Piazza Navona, people watching.
I love success stories of young entrepreneurs who know what the rest of us want. Domenico and his partners have managed to achieve a wonderful blend of comfort, hospitality and a well-oiled business. I can't recommend this little gem enough that lies within walking distance of so many interesting and stimulating places. I can't imagine staying anywhere else upon my return.

Fantastic location, excellent staff, updated roomsPosted Apr 24, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness.
Location: Walking distance to all major sightseeing locations and most neighborhoods of Rome.
We had a great stay at the Four Rivers Suites. The location was perfect as we were able to walk to everything from the Vatican, Coliseum, Termini, Spanish Steps, everywhere. The hotel is new, so the rooms are clean and updated. Domenico, who works at the hotel almost every day, will do anything he can to make your stay in Rome more enjoyable. This hotel is perfect for couples or individuals traveling alone.
