4 Night Stay in Rome - January 2013
Posted Jan 22, 2013
Pros: See review
Cons: Nothing
Location: Great location for walking to the main tourist attractions in Rome
This hotel consists of a number of suites on one floor of a larger building. Breakfast is served in a small kitchen / dining area at the end of the corridor. Use of the kitchen is allowed outside of breakfast time so you can make tea / coffee etc. The rooms are clean and tidy and are quite comfortable. There is a TV in each room but sadly there are no English speaking channels...not even an English news channel but that did not matter too much on our 4 night stay. Each room also has a good size safe and a fridge. The hotel is situated in a position where all the main tourist attractions are within walking distance. Our room was on the 'main road' side of the building and we used ear plugs each night to block the traffic noise, so taking ear plugs is advisable if you are a light sleeper. Wifi is available....ask the staff for the network id / password. The owner and staff were very pleasant and could not have been more helpful. Overall, no complaints with the accommodation or staff whatsoever....a very pleasant experience....would return to the Four Rivers Suites if we ever go back to Rome.

We could not have found a better place to stay for our first visit to Rome. Four Rivers is centrally located, walkable to all of the major sites. Our hosts were so helpful and generous with their time. We definitely will come back to Four Rivers on our next visit!Sue

Our host Domenico and his staff were great! They were very friendly and accommodating. Anything you needed they were there to assist. His recommendations to the local restaurants were perfect!

Comfortable and very well located

Pros: Location, helpfulness of staff
Cons: Room was a little small, clothes closet but no drawers for clothes in our room
Location: Walking distance from most sights, found some great restaurants in the immediate area
My wife and I stayed here for several nights at the end of a 2 week Italy trip. The hotel was very well located for sightseeing and dining. The interior of the hotel apparently had been recently renovated, clean and modern, very attentive service. The only slight negative was the room was small, we had one of the smaller rooms.

Domenico has to be the best hotel manager I have ever met, he was the perfect host. The location was just right, the room was clean, bright and had air con which was much needed in Rome's August heat! Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Domenico's in depth local knowledge was a great help, in particular his recommendations for dinner, of which we followed on all 3 nights and had 3 super evenings and would never have known about the restaurants without his help. Would strongly recommend this hotel and WILL be going back!

You can't find a better location in Rome. It's a 15 minute walk from all of the main sites, yet close to neighborhoods (Campo di Fiori and Trastevere) with amazing, non-tourist trap restaurants. Demenico couldn't have been friendlier and more accommodating. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. My only warning is that you're on a main street so there was some traffic noise at night, but that's what you can expect when you're staying in the heart of a big city.

Pros: Being looked after so well by the staff
Location: It is within 15 minutes walking distance to most sights in Rome
This is a real gem of a hotel. First of all, the Four Rivers Suites is very centrally located in a fabulous building around the corner from Piazza Navona! The building itself is 19-th century with many period features. As you enter through the grand double doors, the entrance hall is breathtaking with beautiful fresco ceilings and a Roman statue to complement. Through to the vintage lift and up to the second floor where the Four Rivers Suites has been very tastefully and elegantly decorated. The room was very comfortable, nice beds, plasma screen TV, a balcony (rare for Rome!), lovely bathroom, a fridge and a safe - everything you need. It's almost like having your own private apartment in the centre of Rome. Breakfast was great - a choice of cereals, a selection of bread, croissants, tarts, scrambled eggs, ham and cheese. The best thing about the breakfast is that you get served fresh Italian roasted coffee every morning. I call that first class service! If you have any special dietary needs or food preferences, the hotel staff are more than happy to accommodate. Above all, the hotel manager is extremely kind, helpful and professional - something other hotels lack and what I found here was the personal touch. I felt very 'at home' here, and it's thanks to being so warmly welcomed. This will definitely be my first choice for accommodation when I come back to Rome. Highly recommended!

We were only the second guests to stay here. So, they were working out some details, however, the location is excellent, the rooms are newly remodeled and the reception is welcoming, very knowledgable and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again.
