Nice staffs, but not near rome centerPosted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: good rate and nice people
Location: we found various pizza places and groceries. GP Hotel is located very next to Auchen supermarket
nice and kind staffs told us how to reach termini, but we made mistake using #14 and transit to tram to get to termini. it took us almost 2 hours to take metro to Spanish plaza. we decided to drive Our rental car to the parking place near Vatican city next day, and felt happy on the way to hotel.

Location OK, they need new cleaning staffPosted Sep 23, 2013
Cons: Staff attitude
Location: Auchan (supermarket) 2 minutes away; for public transport - 5 min walk bus (10 min) to metro station or 10 min walk to tramway
Hotel is OK - could use a refurbishment perhaps, as sink got blocked pretty much straightaway and my bed collapsed under me on night 2 (I don't weight a ton I promise). However, staff attitude is far from satisfactory. On the 2nd day we noticed that we were missing one shoe and a set of tea mugs. Bizarre, I know. The receptionist first refused to help, saying only that they will "talk to cleaning lady the next day", then after complaints finally checked in staff room and found our possessions. Refused to apologize on behalf of the hotel as it was "not his fault". In the end we got the stuff back, and it was not exactly things of any real value, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Will not use again. On the positive note, breakfast was great and staff there very friendly.

Very goodPosted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: Breakfast, good TV, an acceptable shower (some other hotels had 2x2' "coffins"), lacking the old-world flavor but also the old-world headaches.
I was pleasantly surprised to find an active community walking west of the hotel, little pizza places and bustling in the evening. Nice dorm-style hotel, good-sized rooms, very good breakfast. We bought a day pass for busses/trams/Metro and it worked well. The #14 tram is less than a half-mile south, connects to other trams and the metro, ends at Termini train station.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. The hotel is not close to the typical tourist attractions of Rome.

my stay at GP hotelPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is really nice compared to it's price. The breakfast was awesome , the room was super clean, and room service was excellent. Also the staff members were really helpful and they all spoke English. The only disadvantage was the location as it was really far from termini (the main train station). And in case u don't know, next to termini is located most of touristic spots of Rome. In order to reach Termini you have to take the tram, whose station is a bit far from the hotel (a 10 min walk) and the tram ride itself was an unpleasant experience. If u can take a cab, then most likely u won't have any problems.

This is a very nice hotel with comfortable rooms, very kind stuff and great breakfast. The only minus is that reaching the center can take u some time.

Trip to RomePosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: I liked everything, is quite and has a Auchan Supermarket next door where you can buy anything.
Location: This hotel is in the Rome suburbs, 20 - 30 minutes from central Rome when using the Tram14. Auchan supermarket next door, Marco pizza place close too.
We stayed 3.5 days in Rome, our hotel experience was great; no complains whatsoever. From the hotel, we had to walk 10 minutes to the Prestina-Valente Tram14 stop which would take us to Termini main station in central Rome; our way back was the same, we took the tram T14 at the same stop at Termini and it would drop us off at the same Prestina-Valente stop. There is a Pizza place called Marco on Giovanni Valente street; you have to try them, they serve the best pizza I ever tasted!!

reasonable price but too far from the city centerPosted Jul 4, 2013
The hotel is about ten minutes to a Tram station, but the ride to Rome Termini is more than 30 minutes. The hotel charges a fee for shuttle to a nearby Metro station and you have to make reservation in advance.
