“Highly recommend Gran Melia Rome”

We stayed for 4 nights. We arrived earlier than expected and the room was not ready so we went for a 2 hour tour. Upon return the room was still not ready so they upgraded us. The location of the room was noisier than we were used to so upon request they moved us but back to a regular room. The regular room was a bit small but in a much quieter location. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. They kept checking if everything was ok. Concierge staff were knowledgeable and helpful in booking tickets for venues. It is a beautiful hotel with a lot of grounds considering it is in in the middle of a city. As it just opened in April'12 it is new, well decorated and well maintained. There is a shuttle to a certain point in the city there and back from the hotel at certain appointed hours. Highly recommended.

“Excellent Choice!!!”

The Gran Melia is in a great location, it is very close to majority of the sites. It is a bit pricey but it is well worth it. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has only been open about two months and they still have a few minor things to finish, however, it should not affect the comfort of your stay. Many thanks to Tiago, Francesca and others whose names I have forgotten. Great stay!!

“Fabulous Contemporay”

This hotel is spectacular. The contemporary design is exceptional from the guest rooms to the spa facilities. The outdoor dinning area around the pool is beautifully done. The staff was always friendly and helpful.

“Great Spa Hotel in Rome”

This is a newer hotel and it is very well designed. I could tell from the moment we arrived that the staff was geared toward providing the highest level of customer service, and they delivered without question. The hotel provides most amenities, including complementary wifi that is reliable and a decent speed. The rooms are spacious and very well laid out. The hotel is a long walk from most of the major sights in the city. The staff of the hotel reads your request notes and makes every effort to accommodate them. I would not hesitate to stay here again and I look forward to my next visit.

“Gran Melia = Trip Heaven”

Our trip to Italy was amazing but I have to say that our first stop at the Gran Melia almost ruined the rest of it! The hotel is phenomenal. The Red Glove service is exceptional. I cannot praise this hotel and it's staff enough. We will be staying at the Gran Melia the next time that we are in Rome.

“Amazing luxurious modern hotel!”

We stayed here for four nights in November and it was wonderful. The decor is a gorgeous mix of modern and some classic elements (like the paintings on the headboard). The service was very five star and it is just next to the Vatican. The rest of the sites are a five minute taxi ride or thirty minute walk. The only thing that is true from the negative reviews is the high price for food, drinks, spa etc but what can you do? It's rome and its a five star hotel.... We just had coffee in the morning and drinks one night and the rest of the meals ate out. Make sure to hang out in the beautiful spa (included in the price) and ask for a room with a BATH while booking! Not all rooms in the same category have the same layout. Our first room had a big closet and small shower and we switched to a room with no closet space but a huge bath and shower area. I would stay here again if I go back to rome and would not even bother trying another hotel.
