Posted Jan 3, 2013
Pros: the lobby
Cons: service
Location: just near the Spanish stairs and via condetti
5 star for the location , hotel lobby and breakfast room a very nice baroque palazzo in central rome 0 star for the service, we had to wait 25mn after check in for a groom to ring our baggage tour room. Room service is just correct but If you leave your tray in the corridor it will probably stays on the floor for 2 or 3 days fabulous roof terrace but no way to have a drink on the terrace

Great Hotel for Vacationers, but...
Posted Jan 19, 2013
Pros: Location is great; beautiful building and great staff. Breakfast could be a bit better ...
Cons: INTERNET.... and a better breakfast...
Location: It's in the heart of the city; you can walk to the Spanish steps; the Presidential Palace; SHOPPING; etc... hard to beat the location...
Stayed at the hotel before and it is in a great location and it is a beautiful building. Staff is great; especially the front desk; however we were on a business trip and the fact that the internet did not work for 90% of the time we were there (and NEVER in the rooms) was not a good thing... We need to go back but a larger group on a business trip; the fact that the internet is not reliable may deter us from choosing the Plaza again; we cannot function without internet...shame...

Fantastic Position for ALL sightseeing trips!!
Posted Jan 9, 2013
Pros: Beautiful Hotel. A peacefull bolthole after a long day sightseeing. Great Breakfast buffet.
Cons: Lumpy pillows
Location: Superb location.
Fantastic location - easy to get to all places. As soon as you enter the hotel through the revolving doors peace and quiet is found from the noisy street. The buffet breakfast was superb. All needs catered for in a large, beautiful ornate room!! The bedroom was lovely, large and spacious facing into the inner courtyard. Only niggle is the pillows were very hard and lumpy. Take your own if you can fit it into your suitcase. Staff were mainly OK. I would recommend the hotel for position, the peacefullness and the large bedroom.

A well kept and well positioned hotel.
Posted Jan 5, 2013
Pros: Well positioned and well kept, althought the room was quite small.
Cons: The breakfast selection could be improved.
Location: A few blocks from the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps.
The room was quite small but very clean. The hotel itself is a very well kept slice of history and very well positioned just a few blocks from the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps.

Well located in downtown area of Rome, convenient to get to Vatican City, originally built in 1860, helpful staff, best to request a quiet room, we would stay there again.

Great location, but the service needs improving
Posted Jan 23, 2012
Pros: The location
Cons: The service and the WiFi connection
Location: The location is perfect for sightseeing
As a business traveller, I was disappointed that the room did not come with an iron, and when I asked reception for a ironing service, it was not available at short notice. The WiFi in the hotel room also needs to be improved, as the strength of the signal was very weak and in some cases, it would even drop out. I would also welcome more variety at breakfast time

Pros: Location
Cons: Hard Bed
Location: Optimal.
Really great location, on a shopping street in Rome. Easy to walk to all tourist attractions. Staff was helpful, room was clean, but beds were hard.

beautiful lobby, great location, dilapidated rooms

it was a beautiful old palace in a superb location with amazing common areas but the rooms, although spacious, were in terrible shape -- the bathroom facilities were inadequate, furniture was falling apart, poor electric, wifi etc.

Stay away from this hotel
Posted Jan 29, 2012
Location: The only positive thing of this hotel is the location which is excellent
The Hotel is rundown, everything is old and worn out. When I stayed there the outside temperature was extremely hot and in the hotel the air conditioning was properly working only in the last floor. It was a hell to sleep at night. To sum up an hotel that offers services of a two stars hotel but with the prices of a five stars hotel. You cannot find anything worst than that.

Pros: My favorite things where the location, the free wifi, and the general decoration.
Cons: The hotel has a beautiful private interior patio and the staff didn't allow us to see it. Very un flexible.
Location: Superb.
This hotel is beautiful! It's like staying at an old palace. The location is superb! It' has free wifi which is a plus in Europe, because not many have it for free. The breakfast buffet is great! The staff in general was very polite and helpful, except for the man host at the breakfast dinning room. The bathroom in general was great, except the shower was kind of small.
