Not the best experiencePosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: staff are friendly....
Cons: rooms! heating!! we need heating in winter!!! there is no hot air from air con after 8.30pm..complained a few times but was told this is the best.
Location: residential area...
I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. It is close to Cipro station which is a stop away from Vatican. However, to get the station it is about 1mile....took about 20-25mins... the hotel is located in the residential area and there are few eating place/mini markets nearby. the rooms are small, no heating after 8.30pm....loud noises...can hear flushes and water filling when your neighbors use their toilets.

Tiberio close to VaticanPosted Jan 18, 2014
Pros: The room was comfortable and spacious and the breakfast was lovely.
Location: Being only a 20 minute walk to the Vatican was great and there was a lovely restaurant nearby - casselli's.
We found this hotel clean, close to Vatican and very comfortable. The staff were efficient but not overly cheerful. Breakfast was well catered and the free shuttle was helpful. (remember to book that). The shuttle had 2 drop off points which was a kick start into the city of Rome itself, which was beyond walking distance.

Nice hotelPosted Jan 15, 2014
Pros: Liked the overall appearance and cleanliness
Cons: Restaurant should have a bigger choice e.g. sandwiches and snacks as well as meals
Location: Further away from city centre than expected But train station and bus stops near by
When you arrive and walk into the lobby gives you an idea of the kind of hotel it will be which is nice and clean The rooms are comfortable with plenty of space for personal belongings We woul just like to tell anyone going to stay over a weekend that the shuttle bus from the hotel does not run on sundays. So you either have a long walk or use cabs or public transport Considering that there was limited choice of places outside of hotel to eat we probably would have ate in hotel restaurant on arrival but thought it was quite expensive so decided to go out instead.

A deal and as advertised-but with poor hospitalityPosted Jan 8, 2014
The hotel delivered on its advertised amenities - breakfast was very good, the lobby and rooms were clean. The location was close enough to walk to the Vatican or take a nearby bus around the corner. However, the hospitality was poor; and hotel staff were rude & unaccommodating. Make sure to arrange any shuttle service a few days ahead; the shuttle is great but often bogged down in reservations. The room was nice - but the bed was a bit hard (A trend in Italy?). Overall, the hotel was not the highlight of our trip, but for the reasonable price it was appropriate.

Poor Customer ServicePosted Jan 2, 2014
Pros: Location and the bar around the corner.
Cons: Train the reception desk to be helpful, (not more helpful because anything would have been an improvement).
Location: Easy acces to several busses and trains. Short walk down the hill to get on the subway (15 min)
The hotel pictures are a bit misleading, but it was a bed to sleep in. Even if the beds were hard. The room was supposed to be a family room, but it was a regular room with 2 single beds and a 2 twin beds pushed together. Kept falling in the seam where the beds were pushed together. The reception staff was very poor. They were little help for directions or where to go. First day asked about any pizza places near by and they said just walk around the area we will find some. Asked about how to get to downtown and they said all i need to know was bus 992 that would take me anywhere i wanted to go. It will take you to the vatican area and that is it. Would have been helpful if they told me where to buy the tickets, or even that I could take the hotel shuttle for free. Breakfast was not very good, but who goes to Italy for the breakfast. Location of the hotel was actually pretty good, the comfort was a bed to sleep in and that was all we really needed. But the poor service makes me not want to go back nor reccomend.

Inexpensive but not very well locatedPosted Dec 25, 2013
We stayed at the hotel because it was close to the Vatican. The shuttle to the Vatican was convenient to get there but there was only one shuttle back to hotel in the evening. On Sunday bus service is limited and it is about a 1.5km walk to get to/from the subway. There are not many restaurants near the hotel, we were forced to eat at the hotel restaurant. It was O.K.

A Great Place to Stay................butPosted Dec 10, 2013
Pros: Everything, especially the food, and bar.
Cons: The Front Desk needs an attitude adjustment
Location: The area nearby was good. I felt safe, but it wasnt in the center of town, I plan on going back and we will stay there again.
My wife and I stayed there for 2 days and the hotel was GREAT, the Food was Great, the people who delivered bags and food to the rooms were Great, the wait staff and bartender was not only GREAT but Domenico the bartender was truly a Gentleman and made the hotel the best place my wife and I have ever stayed at in Europe. By the way Domenico did it all in the restaurant but cook. He spoke with my wife and I, when he wasn't busy and made our stay at the hotel quiet a pleasure. Now the BUT....... The Front Desk needs a lesson in humility, and to get off their high horse. This seemed to be the general issue with most people we spoke with.

Not good.Posted Nov 26, 2013
It was very disappointing, the downstairs area had a nice lounge area and restaurant. The evening menu was well priced. However the rest of the stay was terrible. First of all the reception staff were not friendly in any way, no welcome or smiles. The check out was even worse, no extra communication from reception than they needed to, not even did you enjoy your stay. It felt like we were a problem for checking out. Our room was old, it had dirty walls, it also had huge ugly metal vents in the walls which at 7am ever morning had very loud noises coming through them. Sounded like the heating system, and when somebody flushed a toilet upstairs the noise came out our vents. The housekeepers started early in the morning and they were very loud. Banging on walls and knocking on doors. Also on our check out day, without a knock, a housekeeper unlocked our door and came in. At 8am, which wakend us. How hard is it to communicate with reception and find out if people have checked out before they come marching into a room at 8am. My job involes customer satisfaction surveys with every customer I deal with (which is daily) and they are taken very seriously, I hope what I have written can get back to the hotels management and get these issues looked at. Everything I have said is not unreasonable, and would not take a lot to sort these issues. Thank you.

Pleasant enough hotel.Posted Nov 21, 2013
As mentioned hotel pleasant enough, clean and of a good standard. Would recommend a room that does not overlook the street as it could be noisy at night. (We were on the second floor, 206, 207 and 208). Breakfast was good for me, plenty of toast, yoghurt and some tinned peaches, pineapple and pear. Shuttle bus good, runs everyday except Sundays. Do not go to this hotel if you want to be in the hub of the city or you will be disappointed. About a twenty minute train ride to the main attractions. Very little to do near by, as the hotel is located on the outskirts. We just stayed out all day, hotel was purely for sleeping really. Ate in the restaurant in the hotel one night, food okay, but I thought the restaurant lacked any atmosphere and was a little overpriced. Overall had a fab time in Rome.
