3 days & nights in Roma

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Location. Rooms clean and spacious. Annett was very helpful with all questions.
Cons: bigger breakfast would be nice. But what was provided was very good. toast, croissant, coffee, juice, water&yogurt.
Location: we went to spanish steps, trevi fountain, coliseum, pantheon, forum & vatican. plus other cathedrals.
We have family of 5 kids 7,10, &12. We stayed in adjoining studios. High ceilings, marble, woodwork make it feel like a palace. free wifi & it worked well, breakfast was continental. Annett made sure we were comfortable & had what we needed. Walking distance to all. Although we did take taxi's a few times to save the kids energy. Would stay again & wish we had more time.

Fabulous room in a central location

Posted May 24, 2014
Pros: Large airy room in a central location. Warm friendly and accommodating staff.
If you are looking for a five star experience this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for a quiet intimate guest house in the heart of old Roma the Guest House Suite Della Vite is perfect. You check in to the Guest House at the Restaurant next door and the staff are welcoming and accommodating. The room was large airy and very comfortable with a modern bathroom free Wi-Fi and large flatscreen TV. A continental breakfast was included in the room rate with the usual array of delicious breads and pastries, but my girlfriend has Sciliac and can't tolerate wheat. No problem for the staff who quickly whipped up an omelette for her even though it wasn't included in the package. Great location and we walked to all the major sites. There are also lots of great restaurants and cafes within a few hundred metres, though the restaurant attached to the guest house is also very good. We would definitely stay at the Guest House Suite Della Vite again when we return to Rome, hopefully that won't be to far away in the future.

Great location

Convenient, if pricey, studio-type apartment. Very small kitchen, not really usable. Very nice staff, but no hotel-type services. People in the restaurant next door who operate the apartment were very pleasant.

Nothing special, but great location, everything in walking distance. Quite hard to find this hotel because of no sign.

unbeatable location! walk to everything!

Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Location! Mini fridge with water, juice and also the expresso/coffee/tea maker in the room. Spacious. CO Bigelow soaps/shampoo
Cons: The shower didn't get very warm. Invest in some nicer towels (thicker, larger).
Location: Plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, clothes shopping, sightseeing, post office all within walking distance.
It's expensive to stay in Rome and there are so many options, but this place was worth it! Loved the high ceilings and decor. A full breakfast was included daily in your reservation in the restaurant adjacent to the Guest House (also where you check in and check out). Mini fridge was restocked every day with water and juices for free. There are also a lot of restaurants on that same block and along the street. The main post office is across the street (don't get fooled into buying those post card stamps for 3 Euros like we did for a for-profit mailing service that can't be delivered through regular mail). Shops galore on the street and nearby. We walked to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Colosseum, and even walked back from the Vatican (was a pleasant 30 min walk). Free wifi for 1 device only per person (keep that in mind before logging in) that worked well. Taxi stand was just a short walk away. We felt safe. Very clean. Shower had low water pressure and didn't get very warm. Towels were small and thin but I found a larger one in the closet to use.

Best bed in the world

Posted Aug 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very central as promised so quite noisy on night time, but this is to be expected. The room was very spacious and clean with everything you could need; coffee machine toiletries towels and fridge with complimentary drinks and snacks. The only let down was the air con which was not powerful enough which you really needed as it was so hot. Annette who ran it was a delight, so helpful giving advice on prices and places to eat. She also booked our taxi for us and made sure it was metered which was important. On the whole don't stay away cos of air con just sleep with a sheet over you. It's well worth staying here and great value for money

Best find ever!

Posted Aug 8, 2013
Pros: Everything from location to comfort to staff to affordability.
Location: This hotel/residence is central to everything yet quiet.1 minute walk to the base of the Spanish Steps and Metro line.
I wish I could say something unappealing because I don't want this place to be booked on our next visit, but there is nothing bad to say. Best find EVER! Thank you Anette for a truly wonderful experience. Looking forward to meeting Mario on our next visit. Which should be soon, since we threw our coins in the Trevi. Located very near bottom of The Spanish Steps. Central to everything yet quiet and oh so comfortable.Very highly recommended!

Outstanding location, beautiful room

Posted Apr 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location of this suite is outstanding. It's just a short walk from both the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, and within walking distance of all of Rome's key sights. The rooms are nice-sized and well appointed. The staff is helpful and pleasant, and the restaurant at street level, Mario, is outstanding. I highly recommend this property and plan to return.

Great Location and staff

Posted Oct 31, 2012
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: rooms in the front are nosiy from the street traffic
Location: A few blocks from Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain.
The location of the hotel was excellent and the staff were very nice and accommodating. We arrived early morning and my wife was feeling ill from the trip. Our room was not ready as it was only 10:00am however they put us in another room so my wife could lay down until our room was ready. Keep in mind this is not a huge hotel with tons of spare rooms they only have a few rooms. The one negative is that our room was in the front and right on the street so it was quite noisy in the mornings which didn't bother me as I am an early riser but if you wanted to sleep in or go to bed early I could see it being a problem. Overall I would recommend staying there if you want to be in the middle of everything, however if you are looking for a peaceful retreat this is probably not the best place to stay.
