Pros: Friendly and professional bar manager. Nice reception staff.
Cons: Clean the walls, doors and door-handles every now and again. If you must clean at midnight, please train your staff to knock and announce themselves.
Location: Don't stay here. You deserve better.
You don't expect greatness from the only (walking access) airport hotel, but this place appears more and more to just phone it in. I've stayed here for many years as an early morning flight option. It appears to have no more flocks to give. Room was...icky. From door-handle to walls, nobody has cleaned them lately. Before finding the room lights, got to see the bizarre patterns on the walls illuminated by blue light from the neon sign outside - it was a like a CSI nightmare. Nuff said. Clean sheets, good bed, OK. Uninspired and expensive food downstairs, plus your fellow travellers seeking the only free wi-fi. Not that they don't have in-room options, they simply cost silly amounts of money. If you're missing America, you'll love the bar and restaurant. Having the housekeeper try to barge in unannounced at 23:30, just as I'd fallen asleep was no highlight. After 3 attempts, finding the inside bolt holding firm against her shoulder, she moved next door, and commenced cleaning noisily. (Yet I'm willing to bet the doors and walls in that room also remain sticky enough to hold "hairs" regardless of her banging and shouting.) If anyone had asked at checkout, I likely would have mentioned my midnight wake-up call, but I'm not a big complainer. (I spend 100+ nights a year in hotels, and am pretty easy-to-please.) Could have explained it as the reason I was reporting I'd had a $10 beer from the mini-bar, trying to get back to sleep before my 04:30 wakeup call.

Good choice for in-transit passengers.Posted Nov 19, 2013
Pros: Convenience to the airport. Can walk there.
Cons: Food services. Shuttle to and from Fiumicino.
Location: Ostia Antica if the weather is good and you don't mind saying 25+ Euros for a cab each way.
This is the perfect hotel if you're merely connecting through the Rome airport and don't have any real time to spend in Rome itself. My only criticism is the lack of a real good restaurant in the hotel. The food services are really more like a cafe but with restaurant prices. You could take a cab to nearby Fiumicino where there are a few more restaurants but the cabbies charge a fortune ( eg 20+ Euros for a five (5) minute cab ride) and you pretty much have to know what restaurant to attend and such information is not readily available at the hotel. So if you do want to broaden your dining experience by going to Fiumicino then be prepared to add about $60+ to the evening's cost and be prepared to wander about in Fiumicino while you search out the restaurant that appeals to you. The free shuttle into Rome is great but adds quite a bit of time to the exercise and has some limitations on destination and availability.

Nice hotel near the airportPosted Nov 18, 2013
Location near the airport makes it great for and overnight stay before going or returning from a cruise. We stayed there one night after our cruise. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Rome central. This gave us the chance to have dinner in Rome on our departing night. We met some people staying there and using the bus each day to vist Rome.

Hotel Hilton, Fiumicino Airport, Rome, ItalyPosted Nov 17, 2013
Pros: Staff, cleanliness, shuttle driver was so nice.
Cons: Free wifi in the room??
Stayed here for a quick overnight and flight out the next morning. Great location, welcoming and helpful staff. We were fortunate to pick up an early morning, free shuttle to our terminal. Free wifi in the room would be nice!

Wonderful for catching flights.Posted Nov 17, 2013
Cons: 3 of the 4 elevators were down when we left, waiting 20 min for an empty elevator then finally carrying all of our luggage down 3 flights was awful.
We stayed at the Hilton Rome Airport the night before and after we went on a cruise. It does cost more than a lot of the hotels in the area, but it is so worth it for the convenience. Once we figured out how to get to the hotel from the airport (It's quite a long walk, but there are moving walkways and we were ready to stretch our legs after a 9 hour flight) it was easy. The hotel staff were polite, helpful, and spoke perfect English. The breakfast is AWESOME! We added it into the price of our room, which was only a few dollars per person, but it costs a lot more to pay full price once you get to the hotel so my family members skipped it. We ate at the restaurant one night and the tiramisu was excellent. The rooms were very clean. I like that there are computers downstairs, you can use the internet (not free) but they do offer a computer that lets you print your boarding passes for free. The hotel is not near central Rome (about a 30 minute ride), but a BIG selling point was the free shuttle that drops you off right by the Colosseum. We dropped off our bags, took a quick shower after check in, and hopped right on the shuttle to go exploring for the day. It runs every 2 hours from the hotel, or from central Rome. We are very active so we did a LOT of walking around, but there are ways to take public transport once downtown and the staff will direct you to where you want to go if you ask, and will mark it on a map for you.

Disappointed Canadian travellerPosted Nov 13, 2013
Pros: Reception and check in good and staff pleasant. Room a little dated but good size and amenities were as anticipated
Cons: Restaurant staff, service and food - see above
Location: Airport location - did not leave site
I had read several poor reviews related to the restaurant price etc. That being said decided how bad could it be and decided location would be worth it - Definitely wrong. The hotel location, rooms and check-in/out were fine. A little dated in some areas but fine especially for an airport hotel. Terrible restaurant experience though - Restaurant was quite busy. We were barely greeted, and sat at a table that was poorly cleared - there seemed to be multiple staff responsible and yet not handled well at all. Waited for order to be taken, staff passed by on numerous occasions without checking on us at all. Food was terrible - burned steak, cold vegetables - not what I would expect at a Hilton. Price vs quality worse meal in our 2 week trip in Italy. Had to flag staff down to take plates and provide bill. At end, waiter realized we were unhappy but way to late to ask
