Location: la zona di via assisi purtoppo non offre molte attrattive...
hotel minimal,ma funzionale....manca un pò di calore e intimità per farti sentire un pò meno fuori casa.

Egregio Cliente, leggo con sorpresa il suo commento sulla freddezza degli arredamenti che non la fanno sentire a casa, poiché contrariamente a quanto lei sottolinea, il lay out delle stanze è molto apprezzato dalla ns. Clientela internazionale. Vorrei far presente che le camere sono state totalmente rinnovate a fine 2011 ed offrono sommier e materassi anatomici, 2 cuscini per persona a compressione differenziata e per il periodo invernale anche trapunte in vera piuma. Disponibili in tutte le abitazioni i televisori full HD a schermo piatto da 32” con 6 canali SKY gratuiti, i bagni dispongono di doccia con comodi dispenser di sapone liquido di qualità, per una maggiore attenzione all’ambiente. L’arredamento inoltre è composto da guardaroba aperti e non dispongono di cassetti poiché il soggiorno medio presso le ns. strutture è inferiore ai due giorni. Ricordo a tutti i lettori che la peculiarità del Brand Holiday Inn Express (3 stelle) è data dall’offerta degli stessi servizi di un Hotel a 4 stelle ma con un ottimo rapporto qualità – prezzo, come ad esempio la prima colazione a buffet caldo sempre inclusa in ogni tipo di tariffa. Il quartiere nel quale si trova l’Hotel è residenziale quindi assolutamente tranquillo e sicuro ed a soli 4 km. dal Colosseo, considerato dai Romani il cuore della città. In zona sono presenti numerosi ristoranti e pub, ma saremmo stati lieti di fornirle ulteriori informazioni in merito qualora di fosse rivolto al Ricevimento. La vicinanza alla fermata Pontelungo della metropolitana a 750 mt. e della stazione Tuscolana a soli 350 mt., con collegamento diretto da e per l’Aeroporto Int.le di Fiumicino, costituiscono un vantaggio per raggiungere comodamente il trafficato centro storico, potendo lasciare la vettura nel garage sotterraneo riservato ai Clienti dell’Hotel. size of the room and attached bathroom

Pros: the size of the room and bathroom which was refreshing after staying in rather small hotels in London ,Amsterdam and Paris.
Cons: The reception staff were not too helpful especially if you cannot speak Italian
Initial experience of finding our way to this hotel was disappointing as we had not printed out the route maps by Metro. so we ended up taking a train and then walked quite a bit to locate a taxi stand. But once we were there we made it a point to make enquiries about the Metro and it was a breeze travelling from the hotel to most of the tourist spots we visited.

Base for 'doing' Rome

Cons: It would be nice if they could move it a bit nearer the Metro - but you can't have everything! A map of the bus routes of the 2 buses
Location: Pretty convenient
After a very frustrating 4 hours navigating Rome Airport etc during a work-to-rule, it was really pleasant to be welcomed by name by Simone as we walked in the doors. This was the best Holiday Inn I have stayed at. All the staff were very helpful

Nice hotel 5 minutes to metro.

Friendly staff, nice buffet breakfast lots of choice. Little bar to relax on a night. Rooms have aircon which is awesome after a long day walking around the sites.

Holiday Inn Express Rome

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for three nights at the end if July 2014. We arrived by train and got to the hotel by subway. The hotel was fairly easy to find and about a 15 minute walk with luggage from the subway station. The hotel is very new and smells amazing when you walk in. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We were offered an upgraded room for 15 euros a night which got us robes, slippers, balcony with a table and chairs, and slightly bigger room. This room also had a specialty coffee machine. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. A good basic breakfast was included with a decent amount of selection. There were variety and grocery stores with great prices close by. We bought a decent wine for 1 euro! There were not a lot of restaurants nearby but transit is easy to use in Rome so it was not a problem. A big plus for us was that there was a station a 5 minute walk around the corner with trains going to the airport for 8 euros per person.

The Hot American Buffet Breakfast allows to choose among over 100 products, many of them freshly home made as pastries, season fruit gateaux, candied or dried fruit cakes and croissants. Oven cooked bacon, salami, turkey ham, varied of cheese, hot scramble eggs, fruit salad, variety of cereals, muesli, fruit - flavored yoghurt, jams, butter, honey, creamy chocolate, fruit juices, fresh fruits, sorted of bread, biscuits, American and barley coffee, decaf, hot chocolate drink, variety of teas, full fat and skimmed milk, The espresso and cappuccino are self service made by automatic machine and have absolutely the same taste of the one you can have at any Street Bar, because the machines ground the coffee beans on the instant. ideales Hotel für Städtereise,da die Innenstadt in ca 10Minuten zu erreichen ist.Die Zimmer wahren sauber und zweckmääsig eingerichtet.Das Frühstücksbuffet war völlig in Ordnung.Wir können das Holiday Inn Axpress nur weiterempfehlen.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff - polite and helpful. The hotel is located near Roma Tuscolana train station which has trains to/from Fumicino Airport a few times an hour and the cost of the trip is only 8 Euros. The hotel is also close to Metro station.It only takes about 10-15 minutes to reach downtown Rome by Metro. Breakfast was also very good. Great hotel!
