Great service and best location for walkingPosted Jul 6, 2015
We needed no public transportation during two lovely days in June when we saw all we wanted on foot. Excellent breakfast on the Piazza Rotonda while gazing at the Pantheon and enjoying a Roman early morning. Wonderful professional musicians played during the day and into the evening. Delightful.

Location is unbeatablePosted Jul 2, 2015
The location of Hotel Abruzzi is unbeatable; literally just steps away from the Pantheon and even closer to the most famous and the greatest coffee shop in Rome, the Tazza D'oro! The service of the hotel staff was also great. They were very courteous, pleasant, and welcoming at all times. My only critique of this hotel is the small size of the rooms. They do a good job online on their website of making the rooms appear bigger than they actually are. Just be advised. However, the location, cleanliness, and professional staff that this hotel offers more than make up for it.

You and your belongings are not safe here.Posted Jun 6, 2015
Cons: Security, customer service, cleanliness/odors
Location: Location was great.
We had our 2 Mac laptops stolen out of our room while we were out at dinner one night (the safe was too small for our computers). I traced the IP address and it shows the computers were used on the hotel property by the thief just a few minutes after we left for dinner. The hotel told us this was impossible. Clearly it was not. We filed a police report as directed by the hotel and were told that we would receive compensation for the stolen computers from their insurance company. I email them every week and still almost 2 months later, no compensation. In addition, our room smelled awful like pickles and cleaning solution. I asked to move room but was told there were no more rooms with a Pantheon view we could switch to. With all of this, we still had to pay full price for our rooms - no discount or refund for our terrible experience.

Lovely boutique hotel steps away from PantheonPosted May 18, 2015
Such a lovely boutique hotel just steps away from the pantheon. Small but perfectly formed, clean, lovely staff and amazing location, just so nice dangling out of the window and listening to the hustle-bustle! Breakfast is across the square but what better to enjoy your breakfast right outside the pantheon. Couldn't rate it highly enough!

Opening the shutters will take your breath away!Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location!
Location: Within walking distance to Piazza Novanna, the Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain. For further distances there is a taxi stand beside the Pantheon.
We stayed at the Hotel Abruzzi for two nights in March. We were greeted by the friendly desk clerk in the tiny but classy lobby. He checked us in and had someone bring our bags to our rooms. After settling in, we opened the shutters to look outside and there was the Pantheon in all its glory! There was music playing in the piazza below, horses and carriages waiting for passengers, diners enjoying meals at outside restaurants, people going into and out of the Pantheon, and people strolling around the square. It was like something from a movie! The view alone was worth the price of the rooms. The rooms are small but modern, comfortable, and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast, which is included in the price of the room, is served in a restaurant across the square. The hotel is located in an area that is within walking distance to many places of interest. If you stay at the Hotel Abruzzi, make sure you ask for a room with a Pantheon view. You will be happy you did!

Nice hotel in a great location.Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: The staff was helpful and the location was great.
Cons: The linens were a bit worn.
Location: The location for us was perfect. We were within walking distance to most of the sites that we wanted to see. There is a taxi stand nearby as well.
We enjoyed the hotel. We could hear the noise from the busy square below our window but we enjoyed the music being played and watching the crowd. For us it was not a problem. The location is terrific. The staff was very friendly and helpful in answering any questions.
