Second stay in RomePosted Oct 23, 2013
Staff OK location near nothing. The walk back to hotel is all uphill.

Good location not far from the VaticanPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: It was nice and quiet, clean and friendly
Location: It was about a twenty minute walk to the nearest Metro station and fifteen to the Vatican. Buses were just down the road so a very good location.
A good clean hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were excellent and overall standard high. Breakfast was limited but of a good standard.

Great stay after disasterPosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Found this place... okay it is a little out of the way but still close either to the major train lines... property is set back in a residential area but was just what I wanted... well appointed room and the service was great. Shame that other properties in Rome are not able to match this positive experience that I had when staying here.

nice hotelPosted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: very clean and English speaking staff
Cons: The shower is too small. A women shaving legs would have problems. I think also the shower head kept sliding down the support rail
Location: It is up a high hill and tough to get to if walking from train or metro station. Close to Vatican City and a few restaurants, shops
We liked the hotel, it is a little difficult to get too, up a high hill. The staff spoke good English and was very helpful. We had a need for band aids but they did not have them. Later in the day when we returned they had them. The staff was professional and the free breakfast was also very good. We would stay again. Normally there are problems with the wifi but it was great in our room, we could even use our Skype to call home. The shower is a little small so a large/heavy person would have problems.. There is a bode au in the bathroom but we never used it, a waste of space in my opinion. The hotel was very clean even though there the neighborhoold it is in is not the best. There are large dumpsters near the entrance and some trash around but the entrance to the hotel and surroundings were very clean..

Overpriced for what it is, but location was greatPosted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Location, desk staff.
Cons: beds were not particularly comfortable. Price does not feel like it was worth what we got.
Location: Location is fantastic. Very close to St. Peter's square and Vatican museums. Also not far to Piazza Navona, Pantheon, etc.
The staff was very helpful at the front desk especially working with us on parking (which you have to find on the street). The room was set up well for our family which we appreciated with our late check in. Beds were fair. Location was nice in that it was right near the Vatican and was convenient to a lot of things in the area.

Little haven near the VaticanPosted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel Alessandrino was a pleasant surprise to say the least. My usual experience with 3 star hotels are not that great but with this hotel I had not much problems. Beds were slightly small for my length (1.9m) but I did not mind to keep myself curled up in the comfortable bedding they use. Clean bathroom and it seems recently renovated as the toilet and bidet were like new. With the great location of being near the Vatican, getting there early and having no waiting time was also a very welcome feature of this hotel! We would probably take this hotel again next time we visit Rome!

Great location!Posted Aug 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
We could walk from the hotel to the central square. Buses and metro were near the hotel, too. The people in the front desk were so friendly, gave us great suggestions and advices! The rooms were simple but comfortable. The air conditioner worked well! Good choice! We enjoyed!

Good service and breakfast but a bit noisyPosted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was nice and clean, and the breakfast was good. Location-wise it was very good for the Vatican, and near San Pietro train station but not very close to any metro stops so you have to use the train or a bus to get into town. The only real downside was that the place was a bit noisy, with noise from the street in the early morning.

Clean hotel and good proximity to the Vatican.Posted Jul 26, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness of the room and the entire hotel, proximity to the Vatican.
Cons: The dining area. The place is not very cosy I don't like the plastic chairs and placemat as they look cheap, can add a variety of breakfast food.
Location: The hotel is located up the hill and is .9 miles away from the Vatican.
The taxi driver had difficulty finding the hotel. We also found it difficult to go up the hill (by foot) after a whole day of sightseeing. It was very tiring.

Rome visitPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Staff and breakfast.
Cons: Terrace was not as nice as it appears in photo. Bedspread was tattered on under side.
Location: A bit of a hike uphill after a long day walking around Rome. I thought the view would of been better up on the terrace - just other roof tops.
Nice small hotel. Close to San Pietro train station and not too far from the Vatican - once you know the route. Friendly staff.
