“Thumbs Up”

This is a nice hotel but out of the way for those interested in the standard tourist attractions that Rome has to offer. From the main metro/train station (Termini) it is a 20 minute bus ride (using the 90x line which is an express line with less stops). From the airport train station it is almost an hour travel time to the hotel. Don’t take a taxi: too expensive for the distance. It cost me 37 euros to go from Termini to the hotel. If 20 minute bus rides to/from Termini (as long as you get the express route.....it is longer if you don't!!) don’t bother you, this is a nice place to stay. I was very happy with the service of this hotel. They were very helpful and helped me with an issue I was having with an excursion I booked through an online website before my vacation. Staff is excellent! It is a long walk from the hotel to the bus stop. It is a 5 minute walk if you walk very fast and you are not carrying any luggage. I have no issues with the neighbourhood, I felt safe. I am a female traveling alone; therefore I only went sightseeing during daylight hours. I did not go out at night. That is my general rule no matter which country I am staying in. Better to be safe than sorry. Good breakfast.

“extremely satisfied and highly recommended”

If you do not mind the 15 mins drive/ride either by car or bus (#90) to rome terminal and away from the noise of rome central, Hotel Aniene is highly recommend. Hotel rate includes excellent breakfast. We stayed in Rome for 6 days and was extremely satisfied with hotel service, cleanliness, safety and overall condition of the room.

“Really impressed”

We had a brilliant week in Rome and Hotel Aniene was superb. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the hotel was great and our room was clean, light and airy. Breakfast was ample and kept us going to mid afternoon. For us, the location of the hotel was just right; a twenty minute bus ride (using the 90 bus from Termini station), so we were in a lovely quiet area (Sempione) just out fom the city centre but so accessible to get everywhere. We would have no hesitation in using the hotel again and can thoroughly recommend it.

“Comfortable”

On the whole, the accomodations were very satisfactory. The included breakfast was good and we had a varity of choices from cereals, eggs, bacon, fruits etc. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative thing was that there was no dressers or drawers to place our clothes in and hangers are limited in the room. Since the hotel just opened and work is not completed, maybe this is the reason for the lack of furniture in the room. There is a safe to store our passports etc. It is perfect for a short stay.

Loved staying at the Aniene! Staff were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast buffet was good, clean towels daily & free wi-fi. Location a bit farther out of Rome centre than i thought, but buses daily & very dependable (even on Sundays!) & only a 20min bus ride into town. Staff will point you in right direction to bus stops/good places to eat/shop. Happy to go back next time i'm in Rome! Ciao!

“An amazing little retreat!”

We stayed at Hotel Aniene for 9 nights with our kids, 13 & 15. We had 2 rooms on the same floor which was great! Although the hotel is not in the heart of historical Rome, it was a 20 min bus ride (1 euro dollar!) on route #84 which took us right to the centre of town. It was cheap and a great way of getting around. The bus stop is within steps of the hotel. We totally recommend the bus/metro system for getting around. Go accross the street to the tabacchi shop (tabacco) and get a map and tickets. Hotel staff was exceptional. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Hot breakfast in the morning was basic but very good. We would stay again without a doubt unless we had a very limited time to see the sights (less than 3 days).

“really great stay”

The hotel had only opened the day before we arrived and so was still a work in progress! That said, the staff were all really friendly, professional and most helpful. The room was quite small but adequate although we had no desk chair, no dressing mirror in the bedroom, no clothes drawers and only 2 coathangers which was a bit odd we thought! Not all the amenities were up and running such as the bar but you could see it was coming together nicely. The buffet breakfast was really good and the breakfast staff very helpful. The bus stops were plentiful, the no.86 into Termini Station stopping just outside the hotel and at 1 Euro a ticket great value and only a 20min ride. Plently of good restuarants nearby which we found much better value than in the centre of rome. All in all a very good base for our Roma Trip.

Nice hotel, comfortable and friendly. A good choice of food from the buffet breakfast. Comfortable rooms although a bit small. Staff friendly and helpful.
