“Great place”

I loved this little hotel. The rooms were a nice size and very comfortable. It is conveniently located and in a nice safe area. The staff was the best part of the hotel. They were absolutely wonderful. We felt like a part of the family by the time we left. We would absolutely stay there again.

“Great Little 3 star hotel”

This hotel was really conveniently located with lovely helpful staff. The main man on the desk spoke at least four different languages and was very accommodating.

“expensive”

OK so the hotel was great and the breakfast was very filling. However, we decided to stay an extra night and walked around other (similar hotels) and found a very nice room for half the price.

“Price of small apartment but got the big one instead”

We actually booked a price for a tiny room (this is the actual review made by other travellers). Anyway, since we want to save on money, we booked that room but to our surprise when we checked in, it was like the a penthouse (okay, I'm exagerating here) complete with a living room... I guess we were just lucky as we were only staying there for a night. =) I'm all thumbs up to their receptionists, who were really very very helpful especially in trying to find the best places to visit at a lot cheaper prices. The place is close to everything... even the metro, which is like a 3-5 minute walk to the Reppublica metro station, which is actually one station away from Termini station. Of if you prefer to walk to Termini station, it will take you around 10-15 mins.

“A good option for saving money”

Near a subway station and on a important and full of life avanue. The building is a very old construction and the furniture is also very old. The hotel has not been updated in a while. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is not very good. Additionally the dinning room has just five tables, so there is a great chance you have to make a line and wait for the next available table.

“Clean Room good location”

The location of the hotel is about 1 minute walking distance to the Diocleation metro stop, so you are minutes away from everything in Rome. The rooms themselves are decent/clean and no real complaints to be given. A very good value considering its' location and condition of the rooms.

“Decent for the price”

This was a very small hotel with small rooms. Our bathroom was tiny, and we could barely fit into the shower. The staff was nice and spoke decent English. One staff member in particular was very helpful when the airport lost our luggage. The breakfast was about the same as our other two hotels in Italy, although the coffee was not very hot. The location is very close to a Metro stop, so transportation to and from the hotel was very easy.

“Tablecloth Towel”

The hotel is well located. The biulding is old. And the towel looks like a tablecloth. But it's cheap. If you want a cheap and well located hotel with some cleaning, I recomend it.

“Kind people, rough room”

I have nothing but great things to say about the people who work at Hotel Augustea. They were kind and friendly and helpful. However, the hotel itself was a bit of a disappointment. At first glance it didn't look too bad, however the bed was probably the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on. The pillows were flat and rock hard. thankfully i had a travel pillow with me. The view from our window was even worse. it looked into the "courtyard" which was nothing but wires and electrical equipment that ran up the sides of the building. The bathroom was thankfully clean, however the towels were only as thick as our bedsheets. We also had so problems with the hotel losing electricity. Not just one room, but the whole hotel. It was close to the metro station which was really nice. We thought the location of the hotel was great!
