Lovely boutique hotel in a great locationPosted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: Room, friendly and helpful staff, breakfasts.
Location: On Piazza Barberini, handy for subway, taxi rank and bus routes. Shops for water etc. right outside. Several bars and great restaurants nearby.
Charming boutique hotel. Excellent staff, very attentive and friendly. Our room large and absolutely lovely with a view of the fountain and a balcony. Some of the cheaper rooms are small (as in most hotels in central Rome), but it's very clear when you book, so choose accordingly. Breakfasts fabulous. Staff recommended us to two mearby restaurants which were brilliant too.

Disappointing room, wonderful locationPosted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Location, staff attention and attitude, breakfast buffet.
Cons: Representation of the rooms on the website.
The hotel is located in the center of everything meaningful. Public transportation to reach almost every important place in Rome is just outside the door. Hotel staff did their best to make us feel at home and help. Breakfast was delicious with big variety of food and attentive service. Our biggest disappointment was our room which was far from our expectation. I went beck to look on the pictures that are published on Expedia web and my feeling (after staying at the hotel) that they are misleading and not representing reality. I appreciate the effort of the staff to enrich our stay and the room upgrade and goodies we got as elite + members.

Great location, wonderful and helpful staff!Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Breakfast, location, staff.
Cons: A/C was a little weak (it was 95F). Rooms are compact.
Location: Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, lots of ristorante.
This hotel is just off Piazza Barberini. Convenient to ristorante, shopping, and sites. Staff is terrific--very helpful. Breakfast is great. Rooms are a little small--so book a larger room, if you care about space.

Pros: Staff was excellent
Cons: Hotel should not book rooms adjacent to construction
Room was disappointing and we were not told of construction next to our window.

A first-rate experience!Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Everything. A great experience.
Location: In walking distance or short cab ride of most of the special sites in Rome. Only wish we had had more time (two nights).
The Hotel Barocco proved to be an excellent choice. Small, quiet and highly service oriented. Very well-situated to the historic sites of Rome and Vatican City. The front desk staff was perhaps the friendliest and most helpful of any hotel we have ever used. They could not have been more pleasant, welcoming and accommodating. We were made to feel "special" from the time we walked in the door. The advice and recommendations we were given by the staff were all A+. While the rooms are small by U.S. standards, they were very comfortable. The bar area was very cozy and the breakfast was excellent. We would recommend it with no hesitation.

Perfectly situatedPosted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: We have travelled far and wide and stayed In many hotels but we can honestly say this went to the top of the list, we were made to feel so welcome
Location: There was a very good selection of hop on hop buses bus stops just 2/3 minutes walk away so very easy to get to all attractions.
We had a fabulous stay at this hotel. Everything about our stay was just perfect, the room although rather dark and cosy had so much character to it and was spotlessly clean. The hotel staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, offering their assistance with getting to places and advising us on buying tickets. The breakfast choice was enormous with a freshly cooked egg menu and choice of various coffees and teas, again the same as the reception staff the breakfast staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. There was also a good selection of restaurants within walking distance.
