“Great location & fair price, we'd stay again any time”
Great hotel experience overall. It was a walk able distance from the Roma Termini train station (roughly half mile IF you don’t get lost). Tons of amazing sights within 2 miles which are walk able or a quick taxi ride away. Great little restaurants and a grocery store just around the corner. It’s a relatively quiet neighborhood which is nice for escaping the hordes of tourists elsewhere in the city. It is tough to find; it only has a small placard next to the doorway on the street and you have to buzz to get in the first time. There is an elevator but we didn’t know about it until the last day. We were greeted with cold water which was a nice touch since it was in the mid 90s. The desk attendants spoke enough English to get along and answer basic questions. The room itself was very clean and compact. It was our first trip to Italy so we learned that most hotels don’t have alarm clocks, (maybe this is true in most of Europe?) so bring your own if you want to get an early start. The air conditioning worked well, but the settings weren’t very intuitive and our unit threw the fuse out in the hotel a couple times. Hopefully they get that issue fixed soon! All in all this is a great place for the price- close to most of the big tourist attractions in Rome, yet a quite place to retreat for a good rest.
“Veryimpressed”
We were thoroughly happy with our room. The breakfast was above average - good coffee (ask for cappucino as the coffee was very strong), a superb choice of breakfast items and a very helpful staff. The furnishings are new and clean. The only problem there is that the electricity is rather tricky. We complied with the electricity usage of the hotel, but the electricity did go off at different times. It always came on within a short time. This was not a big problem and we treated it lightly. We were treated with the utmost respect and friendliness and will definitely use the hotel again when we return to Rome.
“Highly recommended!”
Not a full-service hotel - rather a floor in an apartment building, but the rooms are beautiful, quite spacious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is also very convenient: a walking distance to Termini Station. I really enjoyed my stay at Capitolium!
“Cozy & comfortable hotel”
It's small hotel with only 6 rooms and located on 2nd floor of building. But it was clean, very well renovated, and comfortable.
“Great personal service and price”
This hotel is a short distance from the main station (Termini) which makes it convenient if you plan to use a lot of public transport. But Rome is a walking city so you'll probably keep that to a minimum. Pros: Great personalized service from very Concientious staff! At around hundred and twenty dollars per night it's a great deal. Cons: being a bit of a 1 man show means that when someone is late (like fir breakfast) there is no back up or plan B. Advice: the biggest room no. 6 has a view onto the inside. Try And ask for rooms 1 to 5 - they are smaller but have most beautiful view into the neighbours garden - birds abound in spring when we were there.
“A pleasant surprise- great place”
After booking this, I was a bit nervous-- would it be a seedy hotel? We were very happy- walking distance to Termini, cute hotel with a very nice room overlooking a courtyard, AC that satisfied even my menopausal self, and a very nice staff w/ an English speaking front desk staffperson. The building itself was lovely and the other tourists (only 7 rooms) were international--so much better than staying at the Best Western (which, by the way, was near by). The breakfast was very nice and the bathroom was lovely...what more could you want? Oh, yes, there were several adequate or better restaurants within walking distance for those evenings when we were just too exhausted to go far for dinner. Stay here- you won't be sorry!
“Very good hotel”
Small & hidden but an excellent choice. I went with my wife and had a very nice time. Also, its very near to subway station
“Very Impressed... Hospitable and helpful staff... Our hotel of choice for Rome.”
Quality room and very clean. Location is near to Metro stations. Breakfast is included which is really just a plus to already great service. Will go back to this hotel next time we come back to Rome.
“Italy's best hotel!!!!!”
Capitolium Hotel is a nice hotel, located near Termini (main train station) and it is clean, the front desk information is great!!!! I love the hotel and definitively I will go back.
