“Well situated hotel near to the Colosseum.”

A clean confortable hotel which is situated very near to the Colosseum. There was a good breakfast buffet with an extensive choice and variety of food. The staff were very helpful and attentive without being 'in your face'. There a a number of restaurants within walking distance, most of which seemed to be reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends wishing to visit Rome. We look forward to returning to this hotel.

“The Capo d'Africa - the perfect place to stay”

The staff were all friendly and warm. Nothing was too much trouble. The bedding was changed daily and the towels twice a day. There was a great variety of food on offer at breakfast. The hotel was situated in a quiet area, where we were never disturbed by outside noises. It was convenient for the Metro and for tour buses. There was a good selection of eateries, although we found a pizzeria, the "Naumachia", which we frequented for the four nights of our stay, as the service and quality of food was so good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Excellent in all respects.

“Great base for exploring Rome”

The hotel was very comfortable, the staff were always helpful and pleasant. The location of the hotel is excellent for getting around Rome and seeing all the sites. There is a good range of restaurants very near to the hotel ranging from inexpensive with good simple food to good quality although pricey, there are also a few touristy restaurants that over charge and don't deliver on quality so you have to do some hunting around for what suits you best. The hotel has a bar and will do room service but no restaurant except for breakfast.

“Fantastic hotel”

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in for a city break. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast catered for all tastes with cereals, breads, meats, cheese, eggs, bacon, sausage and all the usual pastries. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was a very short walk away from the colosseum which made it ideal for nipping back to drop presents and shopping off before heading out again. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking about visiting Rome for a short break.

“Spoilt in Rome”

The hotel was. as described, in a quiet street yet only a few minutes walk from the Colosseum. Within easy reach of all other major attractions. All the staff were friendly and 'smiling'. Breakfast choice was excellent. Lovely roof terrace area to eat breakfast and to relax on later in the day. We had booked a standard double room but had room 208 which was described as a 'Junior Suite' - so no complaints there !! Several restaurants nearby two of which were Clementini (opposite St Clement's Church) and Hostaria Isidoro a little further along the same road where we had the best lasagne we have ever tasted and the dessert called Tryptich of the House ( 3 delicious cakes !!) was excellent. This was our first visit to Rome and we loved every minute. This hotel is wonderful.

“Highly recommended”

Nice hotel in a fantastic position, only three blocks straight down the road to the Colesseum and Roman Forum, which in my opinion are the best sights. Also close to the Metro, several bus routes and tram stops. Lots of trattorias and ristorantes in the streets nearby. We went to the 3 Scalia and il Clementini, which are both great, traditional, non-fancy places to eat, where we were made to feel welcome and the food was great. The hotel itself was very good, the room was comfortable and the facilities were more than sufficient. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and could have done us all day, had we not been tempted by the Italian food as we walked around the sights!

“Lovely Hotel”

Lovely hotel, a little peace away from the noise of the Rome traffic. Close enough to the monuments to reach them with ease, far enough away to feel relaxed after a busy day. From the breakfast terrace on the fourth flooor you can see the Colluseum as described in the hotel details- but only the top and amid the other buildings and aerials. Not quite the view you would imagine.
