Hotel close to Colloseum.

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Nice large room and bathroom. Linen changed daily. Very friendly staff. During good weather breakfast can be taken on rooftop terrace.
Cons: Cleanliness of carpet which is showing marks and could do with shampooing.
Location: Close to Colloseum. Public transport available within close distance from hotel.
Very friendly hotel staff. Nice room though at times, specially noticeable at night, noisy due to dustcarts working in neighbourhood. Room with airconditioning. Hotel has two lifts. No tea / coffee making facilities in our room though understand these available in more upper grade rooms. Breakfast buffet satisfactory but could do with bigger choice of breads (e.g. rye) instead of the many pastries.

Staff are very friendly and very helpful.

Pros: Clean, cool, great staff, good breakfast, central location, safe area, less busy than city centre but with excellent transport links.
Location: Visit Colosseum, but book a guided tour ahead to avoid queues. Walk around the area. Go to Papagios restaurant near the hotel - worth every cent.
Lovely hotel, clean rooms, excellent staff. The rooftop garden is idyllic with views of the Colosseum which is in easy walking distance. Reception staff are very good with directions, organising tours and recommending excellent local restaurants. Ensure that you walk around the area, to see all the little streets and buildings. A visit to the park of Villa Celimontana is a must - so beautiful and peaceful. I hope that we can return one day to the Hotel Capo d'Africa and this lovely area of Rome.

Fantastic hotel!

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Location and the breakfast. Staff very polite.
Cons: Very pricey for drinks at the bar. A little noisy in the ground floor room with deliveries early in the morning.
Location: Everything very central to get to from here. 15 minute walk from the Termini station.
Really nice stay in this hotel and very central for all the sites in Rome. Good choice of food at breakfast time and lovely to eat on the terrace looking at the Colosseum.

Very confortable, well located

It was what we expected. Modern, confortable and clean. Located a couple of blocks from the Coliseo. Nothing fancy. You need yo move a bit if you want to go to a restaurant or to do some shopping, but nothing exausting.

Pros: Everything
Location: The Shamrock pub is good not sure it can be called Irish but the beer is, if you like real ale go to Tree Folks they serve Adnams.
What a lovely place to stay just away from the hustle and bustle, nice relaxing mood with lovely friendly staff who were very welcoming. I would definitely stay there again

Lovely hotel, close to Colosseum

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable rooms.
Cons: The Bar's are not well used in the hotel which is a shame, perhaps something to make people want to stay there.
Incredibly friendly hotel staff, couldn't do enough for us. Although close to the Colosseum, it's in a quiet back street and therefore not noisy at night. The restaurant service was a bit slow the one night we ate there but I think there were problems in the kitchen that evening. The rooftop terrace bar isn't always set up which is a shame because it's very pleasant up there to sit and chill out at the end of a day's sightseeing. We'd definitely go back.
